Thanks! I’ve definitely worked hard to try to find a wha to make it more tangible and helpful. I wasn’t satisfied with reviews that just said “it sounds good” or “the bass is awesome.” lol. I appreciate your kind words!
Great line up of earbuds! It's easy to pick a best category that each one does excel in. Go with the category leader that's most important to you. The technology packed into a little earbud is incredible in 2025!
@ I used to have the XM4, I felt the soundstage was more robust on those, but XM5 are smaller and for me more comfortable because they fit my ear shape better 😮💨
Once I bought my Samsung pro's and listen to them for a few days, I put my AirPods in the drawer... But, if you adjust to EQ on the AirPods to Samsung phone you can't get some nice sound out of them
For me. Am a diehard samsung fan. But. Am using Apple earphones pro 2. Because of the transparency mode and the. Noise cancelling. Samsung still got a lot to catch on these areas
Earbuds are an interesting one - they're something you can have on you all the time and are good for general listening, but absolute sound quality is not necessarily a priority - I'd take a nice pair of wireless headphones for extended listening sessions or more critical listening. But wireless earbuds can do so much more than that, and the hearing protection features (both for DIY and also other pursuits like shooting or concerts etc) of the Airpods Pro 2 is such a huge deal. That and the ANC makes it sound like the others don't even have it turned on. For me, I thought the Galaxy Buds 3 and the XM5s actually sounded better, but for general life use it's hard to not go for the Airpods. I just REALLY wish Apple included an EQ!
Very happy with my Ear Pods Pro 2 on my S23 Ultra. Buds 3 Pro weren't a thing yet. I may not have ability to use all the features but I get what I need. Ability to switch between ANC and ambient and Samsung has its own EQ to play with so I get to adjust the sound. Most importantly other than the sound quality I use them as my hearing protection in loud machine rooms.
Sennheiser momentum 4 wireless are better than all of them. Clean sound with a good amount of bass. The Buds Pro 3 comes close to Sennheiser, though, but it lacks a little something.
I use earbuds often on trail running and for making phonecalls in a loud & busy environment. ANC and mic tests in wind and café did not seem very good for samsung. But some owners of the buds 3 report, that theirs work just fine in these situations while others underline the negative test results of your great review. Is there an updated, improved version from Samsung on the market, quietly eliminating some of the flaws? I am completely into the Samsung ecosystem & need new earbuds, but I am confused, as how bad they handle the noisy environments for my needs. Any clues or suggestions? thanks!!
Respect Man, i have been following you since years now and I greatly see the efforts you put in - but this was a next level video and I greatly appreciate the time you take and the efforts you poured into this - and the happiness that was consistenly seen overall throughout the video! I might be upgrading to Buds3 Pro in a couple of months, fingers crossed as my Galaxy Buds 1 Pro seems to be too old tbh now lol! Cheers!
Finally the true definitive review and happy with my Choice of Galaxy buds 3 Pro. If possible please do review Astell&Kern AK UW100MKII Earbuds as they are creating lot of buzz for sound quality and cost only 55 USD in my country
its taken me months to get these to sound right for my ears but i think i have it close now by scooping the upper mids and treble which seems to work for my ears
can't talk about the others, but with my Airpods Pro (gen 1 and now gene 2) i've heard big improvements in bass switching from the included ear tips to a 3d party one, specifically the korean Azla SednaEarfit MAX with the correct size. 3 years still perfect, but as soon as they die i'll try the XELASTEC model
Using the XM5s on my 24 Ultra. Things I need improved. 1. Precise Finding features - I've lost the earbuds so many times, lost the case with the earbuds on and it's not fun. The google find features don't work. 2. Speakers on the case - We all need this tbh. 3. Better ear tips - I got the cream coloured one and 6 months in they look wet, dirty and disgusting. The foam tips also loose the tightness and fit overtime. Honestly I'd prefer silicone tips. 4. Lanyard - I wanna attach it to things 5. Better mics in noisy environments - People can never hear me. 6. Better 360 audio across apps - only limited to sony apps I never use. 7. More battery - Case keeps dying for some reason and when the case is off, the buds won't connect even though they have power.
Good comparison, thanks. In the mic test of Buds3pro the overall sound seems to be reduced. Is it due to the noise handling itself. In general how is the buds3pro call performance in a noisy environment. Please let know, Also what is the actual battery time for a single charge in buds3pro.
That contrast between the Airpods and Quiet Comfort audio quality is striking! I think the Sony had the best music, and the Samsung was close. For voice, the Apple had the most intent to excel in this challenge.
PSA, the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro do not record with noise reduction unless you on a call. A lot of reviewers seems to be coming away with bad impression from using thirdparty recording software which disables the GB3 Pro outside noise reduction. Good way to test this is recording sound on your recording software and then leaving yourself a voicemail from the same environment. It's quite a difference.
Isn't the latest Nothing Ear better or at least on par with the Galaxy, especially if you take the price into consideration. It would have been nice if they were included in the comparison given that you have already reviewed them and they are the most direct competitor to the Samsung's buds.
I heard this video with truthear hexa; As per me sound quality is most important For sound quality: Samsung buds 3 pro Sony wf-1000 xm5 Bose one Apple airpods pro 2 ( i think it's has somekind of muffle or background noise) For every other features: Airpods pro 2 Galaxy buds 3 pro Sony wf1000 xm5 Bose quite comfort Still this date dailying Samsung galaxy buds 2 & truthear hexa Samsung galaxy buds 2 pro, i have them but I prefer buds 2 Amazing video, great work man
Same here got them like 60% off cause I traded in my buds pro 2. We'll worth it. The pro 3 definitely have more clarity. My only gripe is they don't feel like they are secure in my ear, but they never fall out so that's just my OCD.
Hi, just wanted to check, you said about the samsung buds being astounding. Was it in reference to the call test/mic test in windy situations? Did you mean you are happy with the result compared to others? Thank you.
@neenyu1831 Hi, I use the Buds 3 Pro, just moved from the Buds 2 Pro, and I'd tell you the mic quality is nothing short of amazing for calls. During windy situations, and even loud background noise. As someone who makes loads of calls to family members in a windy and rainy country like Ireland, those on the other end of the call have always said they couldn't hear the sound/wind whenever I unintentionally raise my voice because it's loud where I'm at.
@pascalokafor that's really helpful to know. I do like the new design of buds 3 pro but always doubtful as most of the earbuds ive used including apple's have been terrible in picking up my voice thus the receiving end is unable to hear me properly. Thank you!
Thank for this test :) I don't know if it's just me, but my WF-1000XM4 headphones have a transparency mode that's much clearer in the highs and feels way more natural compared to when I bought the WF-1000XM5, which I ended up returning. Even in terms of noise cancellation, the highs were better covered on the M4 than on the M5. (sorry for my bad english, I'm french 😅)
I lost my xm4 and instead of getting another one I decided to upgrade to xm5. I agree with you the pass through mode has an annoying hisss and the battery doesn't last as long. Only thing I like is the wireless charging case and the fact that when you tap on the headphones for ANC, it's instant with a short chime instead of that long annoying voice notification...
For me it's very difficult to choose between samsung and bose.. final thoughts if I want to go for exercise and runs I will choose Bose. If I'm going to the office or something I will use samsung
I wish you would have added the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2. That way not only do you get the two main flagship audio from Bose and Sony but you also get all three major brands of Apple, Samsung and Google.
@ThisIsTechToday I honestly think the bass response is better and the comfort is way better. The phone call quality in my opinion is better. It's not quite as good as the other four but would have been nice to have a comparison between the Google, Samsung and Apple. I personally use Huawei. Good video though! Always enjoy your videos.
Hi , great review! Subscribed.. 😊 during sound quality test did you used preset equaliser (EQ) settings that matched with the songs you are using or did you tune them separately to get the most sound quantity possible? Reason have asked, for regular end user like me i only select EQ settings based on available default settings, i wonder how these ear phones sound quality stack against each other and which comes out best..
Everything is default, as it should be. If you want to hear my custom EQ options, check out my specific videos on the earbuds for Samsung and Sony, or the exclusive content for channel members.
I have the AirPods Pro (1st gen) and I'm thinking of getting the newer AirPods Pro (2nd gen). While there's not much difference, I'm finding that the ANC is enhanced and possibly a longer battery life. Is it worth for me to go to the 2nd gen? I am finding that my current Pros have less battery and the noice cancelling has got worst. I don't really like to push my earbud tips too far in my ear due to ear wax and comfort.
Thanks for this in depth review. I just upgraded to the S25 Ultra and it comes with Buds3Pro for literally 5$ due to the deal available atm. So.......I've been using the very expensive Bose Ultra Quiet Pro as seen in this video for about half a year now and I love the sound but the Bose app is LITERALLY the worst thing I've ever needed to use or try. So for that fact I've wanted to step away from the Bose unit, I'm excited to see how the Samsung Buds3 Pro will operate to my upgraded unit and I am already in the Samsung ecosystem.
Do you want your best sound ? Pick an android phone, get SoundID and a referenced earbuds and customize your sound. You’ll never got better. Sadly I have an IPhone but I kept my Oneplus 6 to music listening with AirPods Pro 2. Sounds so much better than stock sound…
I have the Samsung bud 3 and I only have one complaint - I can't get them to show a complete seal in the fitting test. No matter what earbud covers I use.
Get some memory foam tips. We have options in the area now Also, try cleaning your ears. As cliche as it sounds, it does make a difference if your ear opening is waxy and causing slip. I tested it before, poor fit in the right ear multiple times despite adjustment. I cleaned my ears and earbuds with a wet wipe/ dry wipe combo, retested, good fit first time and every time after
Bose is always amazing tbh. But im one of those people who like the entire ecosystem to be uniform at first. Example. S25 ultra, Samsung tv , Samsung washer , galaxy watch , and now i want the galaxy buds pro 3 before i ever give another earbud a chance.... However i used the Bose and omg these are amazing for gym while still sounding amazing. I do want to try the buds 3 pro. If they fit im sold. But if they dont fit ill be sad cuz airpods fit very well on my ear.
Never mind how long they last in a single charge, how about the overall longevity of the product? Is it an investment or a waste? My favourites are Bose, best sound and comfort
The durability of BOSE QC ULTRA is the worst. The eartips broke off while i was trying to remove the silicon eartips for cleaning. For regular cleaning i was trying to remove the silicon eartips and both of the eartips broke off and the driver part is now visible. Tried to reattach it but still it gets detached while removing from my ear. For such an expensive product the quality is very poor. This happened at 13th month of my ownership and Bose customer care now refuses to give me a replacement. This issue also persists with QC2 earbuds, lot of Reddit posts of the same issue is there,
Love your review. Been looking for someone to do something like this. I think your track selection was great as well. Samsung sounded the best when it came to audio. Apple has great features and clear sound but bland in my opinion. Bose's audio sounded good only with music. Sony is plainly last. Great video 👍🏾
If I have to rate it based on the samples 1. Bose QC Ultra 2. Galaxy Buds 3 Pro 3. Sony XM5 4. Airpods Pro 2 Listened on Samsung S21 FE and iPhone 12 with my Sony XM4 TWS.
I have purchased Samsung buds 3 pro 2 weeks ago, but battery in case is bad, charging buds only one time and battery going down even overnight. Also right bud battery is gone overnight I don't know what to do now...
Hi! I need help choosing earbuds 🙏. I need buds with very good ANC and transparency. Also for me important that the sound is engaging, and I am a basshead person. And it is also important that the headphones last 6 hours when using the maximum codec and anc on.
TLDR: I'd trust this guy's word on what sounds good/bad as an Audio Engineer over other tech reviewers. Im surprised that the majority of people dont know what an "Audio Engineer" is. Seeing on almost all of your videos reviewing speakers, earbuds, and cans, there's always that part of the audience that trash talk you because they're mixing up 'Audio Engineers' and 'Audio Technicians.' Technicians can take apart, repair, and fix broken gear. Whereas Engineers are actually the hand in the studio that mixes and masters music. Basically, as a professional audio engineer, this guy has trained his ears to know the difference between good and/or bad sounding audio. It's more nuanced than just saying the Buds 3 Pro sound better than JBL earbuds or something to that effect. It's the difference between hearing the equalization and how they tweaked the sound profile on the buds to give it that sound.
I just listened to the same music .. it doesn’t sound like that on airpods pro 2 .. way more better actually .. i don’t know why it sounds like that with you !
Maybe I'm minority here. As an Android smartphone user, a Pixel fan, and a Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro user, for me AirPods Pro 2 sounds the most neutral in this comparison. I don't like bass-heavy sounded headphones, although some of my fave tracks are electronic-based genre (as context, I love The Chemical Brothers, Jamie xx, Kylie Minogue, and currently addicted to Charli xcx's brat). I tend to enjoy textured-bass that still gives room for vocals dan instruments to shine throughout. The ANC of APP 2 is also the best here I guess. I just bought QCY Melobuds Pro (the budget tws) mainly for its ANC bcoz of Samsung Buds Pro's ANC is too weak for the price. Knowing that the QCY provide a EQ custom is very satisfying to me. I think APP 2 is the most balanced overall compared to the other three.

Thanks! I’ve definitely worked hard to try to find a wha to make it more tangible and helpful. I wasn’t satisfied with reviews that just said “it sounds good” or “the bass is awesome.” lol. I appreciate your kind words!
This is a quality video both in production and substance.
Thank you so much for your review! I appreciate it a lot! Specially because you actually test them in a way I don’t see others reviewers doing.
Thank you for your effort. Perfect comparison, we need more of these!
Finallyy, this is the review that i've been waiting for❤
Great line up of earbuds! It's easy to pick a best category that each one does excel in. Go with the category leader that's most important to you. The technology packed into a little earbud is incredible in 2025!
Hearing this video with my XM5. And im glad I made that choice.
@@l5-xxc a lot of ppl saying the xm4 is better. I just got the xm5 and I’m thinking about returning
@ I used to have the XM4, I felt the soundstage was more robust on those, but XM5 are smaller and for me more comfortable because they fit my ear shape better 😮💨
Yes me too!
@Paulgeorgiyev the xm4's unfortunately have many battery problems though
I see that all sound experts, sony and Bose will stomp some Samsung or airpods into the ground, which of course is about sound
Bose got the base. Samsung is best.
Once I bought my Samsung pro's and listen to them for a few days, I put my AirPods in the drawer... But, if you adjust to EQ on the AirPods to Samsung phone you can't get some nice sound out of them
You’re great! I love what you’re working on.
For me. Am a diehard samsung fan. But. Am using Apple earphones pro 2. Because of the transparency mode and the. Noise cancelling. Samsung still got a lot to catch on these areas
best review, can see the hardwork.
Thanks a ton! Appreciate the kind words
Agreed
this video was worth the wait, it really showed all the different features of the other brand’s product.
i’m also the one who commented for a comparison of the airpods pro 2 and the galaxy buds 3 pro on your bravia theater bar video
Any clues or suggestions? thanks!!
@@bcoba4041 Maybe go with the Bose… good microphone and much better sound then Apple
Cheers!
Aw, thank you so much for the kind words! I greatly appreciate it.
Finally the true definitive review and happy with my Choice of Galaxy buds 3 Pro. If possible please do review Astell&Kern AK UW100MKII Earbuds as they are creating lot of buzz for sound quality and cost only 55 USD in my country
Why do your airpods pro 2 sound like airpods pro 1? Mine actually have bass
its taken me months to get these to sound right for my ears but i think i have it close now by scooping the upper mids and treble which seems to work for my ears
can't talk about the others, but with my Airpods Pro (gen 1 and now gene 2) i've heard big improvements in bass switching from the included ear tips to a 3d party one, specifically the korean Azla SednaEarfit MAX with the correct size. 3 years still perfect, but as soon as they die i'll try the XELASTEC model
you nailed it dude thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
When are you reviewing the pixel buds pro 2? I want EQ advice :)
4. Lanyard - I wanna attach it to things
5. Better mics in noisy environments - People can never hear me.
6. Better 360 audio across apps - only limited to sony apps I never use.
7. More battery - Case keeps dying for some reason and when the case is off, the buds won't connect even though they have power.
I think we can all agree that Samsung whooped everyone else’s arse there. That was embarrassing!
Sony and Bose were both better with sound in my opinion
Good comparison, thanks.
In the mic test of Buds3pro the overall sound seems to be reduced. Is it due to the noise handling itself. In general how is the buds3pro call performance in a noisy environment. Please let know,
Also what is the actual battery time for a single charge in buds3pro.
It's amazing the balance on buds3 pro
Are you ever reviewing the pixel buds pro 2?
Wow this was epic! I was impressed by the balance of the Bose and the ANC on the AirPods!
Thanks!
Wow the Samsung buds sounds awesome 👌 👏 👍 😍.... the sound is detailed
@@phlexxbeatzgh4071 for me its not good😭
Please share your EQ setting for the buds pro3 :)
Can we copy your EQ setting for galaxy buds 3? Or you change it all the time?
That contrast between the Airpods and Quiet Comfort audio quality is striking! I think the Sony had the best music, and the Samsung was close. For voice, the Apple had the most intent to excel in this challenge.
I'm really loving the audio clarity and full-bodied sound of the Samsungs.
For audio quality ONLY. Yes. Oh, and EQ features in the app.
I heard this video with truthear hexa;
As per me sound quality is most important
For sound quality:
Samsung buds 3 pro
Sony wf-1000 xm5
Bose one
Apple airpods pro 2 ( i think it's has somekind of muffle or background noise)
For every other features:
Airpods pro 2
Galaxy buds 3 pro
Sony wf1000 xm5
Bose quite comfort
Still this date dailying Samsung galaxy buds 2 & truthear hexa
Samsung galaxy buds 2 pro, i have them but I prefer buds 2
Amazing video, great work man
The buds 3 are in a league of its own
With Samsung phone you can customize the sound on any audio device. so having EQ for buds does not matter.
Which one fits the best in ear?
@ThisIsTechToday can you show us the personalised EQ setting you use for the Galaxy Buds3 Pro?
Yes, it’s already posted for channel members.
Can you share the screenshot of your samsung eq please. Thanks.
Do you think is it worth it upgrading from the buds 2 pro to the buds 3 pro?
@@diegoandreschinchillaseque8610 yes
Yes
I got them with a great discount and they're the best
Same here got them like 60% off cause I traded in my buds pro 2. We'll worth it. The pro 3 definitely have more clarity. My only gripe is they don't feel like they are secure in my ear, but they never fall out so that's just my OCD.
Yes better in all areas but mostly with calls!! The isolate the voice perfectly!!
Thank you!
Thank for this test :)
I don't know if it's just me, but my WF-1000XM4 headphones have a transparency mode that's much clearer in the highs and feels way more natural compared to when I bought the WF-1000XM5, which I ended up returning. Even in terms of noise cancellation, the highs were better covered on the M4 than on the M5.
(sorry for my bad english, I'm french 😅)
Yeah, for some reason I feel like the XM5 is a downgrade in many ways outside of the form factor and size.
Only four in a video max. They’re okay. Better than the first, but still nothing notable.
@@ThisIsTechToday I also use a Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold so could also be why they sound better to me.
@@ThisIsTechToday I'd love a review or even just recommended EQ :)
Hi , great review! Subscribed.. 😊
during sound quality test did you used preset equaliser (EQ) settings that matched with the songs you are using or did you tune them separately to get the most sound quantity possible?
What’s that bracelet you’re wearing?
Could you show how many frames pass in the latency test for phone speakers and wired headphones for reference
Sounds so much better than stock sound…
bro..do iems review also . please do a comparison of iem, moondrop May vs Moondrop aria 2 vs Moondrop chu 2
Do you know any earbuds which has minimum EMF exposure
I have the Samsung bud 3 and I only have one complaint - I can't get them to show a complete seal in the fitting test. No matter what earbud covers I use.
Get some memory foam tips. We have options in the area now
Also, try cleaning your ears. As cliche as it sounds, it does make a difference if your ear opening is waxy and causing slip. I tested it before, poor fit in the right ear multiple times despite adjustment. I cleaned my ears and earbuds with a wet wipe/ dry wipe combo, retested, good fit first time and every time after
This used to happen to me on the airpods pro 2. It was so annoying.
It happens to me too !
I stopped using them because they always pop out on me. They sound good but just don't stay in
@@ClapperDan I have to clean mine daily due to my hearing loss, but I can see where that would be a problem.
If I have to rate it based on the samples
1. Bose QC Ultra
2. Galaxy Buds 3 Pro
3. Sony XM5
4. Airpods Pro 2
Listened on Samsung S21 FE and iPhone 12 with my Sony XM4 TWS.
Can you please compare galaxy buds pro 1 vs 2 vs 3? I have 1st gen and i am thinking if its worth upgrading
I have one that reviewed many of them already, but not with the 3 Pro. It is worth upgrading. th-cam.com/video/xAnxYpyaQTE/w-d-xo.html
Have you reviewed the pixel buds pro 2 yet?
You should make a video on the Status Between 3 ANC earbuds
I have purchased Samsung buds 3 pro 2 weeks ago, but battery in case is bad, charging buds only one time and battery going down even overnight.
Also right bud battery is gone overnight
I don't know what to do now...
Hi! I need help choosing earbuds 🙏. I need buds with very good ANC and transparency. Also for me important that the sound is engaging, and I am a basshead person. And it is also important that the headphones last 6 hours when using the maximum codec and anc on.
Thanks for the test. Using my Samsung AKG earphone, I could tell that Samsung earbuds 3 is better. I love this test video❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
TLDR: I'd trust this guy's word on what sounds good/bad as an Audio Engineer over other tech reviewers.
Im surprised that the majority of people dont know what an "Audio Engineer" is. Seeing on almost all of your videos reviewing speakers, earbuds, and cans, there's always that part of the audience that trash talk you because they're mixing up 'Audio Engineers' and 'Audio Technicians.'
Technicians can take apart, repair, and fix broken gear.
Try using head tracking spatial audio for AppleTV movies and series. Is like you're in the movie theather
Not a fan of that
@@ThisIsTechToday ;-;
Can you test Bowers & Wilkins?
Whats best for hearing protection but for android?
Can you try to review CMF Buds Pro 2?
Listening with Beats Studio Pro.
Can we have your feedback on Huawei freebuds pro 4?
