All the retrospective scope glasses suddenly coming out now with their retrospective certainty. Arsenal were 16-1-1 (49 out of 54 points) over their last 18 matches. The reality is Arsenal are now experiencing what Liverpool fans experienced under Klopp when they twice lost the league title to City by a single point despite winning 97 and 92 points in those two respective seasons. 115 charges looming and all, City under Pep are a machine and the consistent standards and elite mentalities that he’s instilled in his sides are off the charts. People can banter and mock Arteta and Klopp all they want. But the reality is the consistency of Pep’s sides is truly ridiculous. Arteta and Klopp are extremely unfortunate to be managing during the Pep Era.
Be honest though....Arsenal could have easily won and should have won it last year but bottled it. This season wasn't a bottle as such, but 1 point out of 12 against Villa and Fulham? Win one of those 4 games and the title is Arsenal's. So as good as City are Arsenal fans are upset and maybe angry at videos like this because deep down they know it was in their hands. Forgetting the league Arsenal haven't won any trophy in 4 years. Arteta got to be sacked if he doesnt pick a trophy up next year

Plus Arsenal spent 200m in the summer, and are only 5 points better off. Also......Arsenal have been lucky this season, they've practically had a full team to pick from every week, especially in defence. Chelsea, Newcastle, United, Liverpool, Spurs had loads of injuries. Arsenal dived out of the cups early and City for a while had 6 or 7 competitions to play in. Next season they’ll just have a standard schedule and it’s unlikely they’ll drop 4 points against Arsenal so the fear is Arsenal already have their work cut out just to match this last season. Very difficult to look beyond City winning 5 in a row, and probably by at least 5 points.

The problem is against this Manchester City side you have to go for any available point because they will just go on long winning runs. After the game finished, both Mikel Arteta and Odegaard had post-match interviews; they made it very clear that it was NOT Arsenal’s game plan to sit in a low block in that game and defend, but in fact, Man City forced them backwards and were continuously breaking Arsenal’s press. This topic the media have latched onto is therefore false. The host of this show (the guy in the middle) says “I watched that game, it was 100% their game plan.” Why make statements like that when you don’t actually know?
Mate we had 11 man behind the ball for 90% of that game even when we won the ball back we played no intent of scoring we never opened up once our best chance came because city were attacking and we counter attacked from a miss placed pass

Arsenal were sat deep because Man City continuously bypassed their press, a team will not continue to press if it keeps getting broken, otherwise you would get ripped apart.

Agree with Danny M. Over the years of LFC and City going head to head, each team always played to beat the other; they never played for a draw even though a lot of those games ended up like that. In the title race, you have to play to win every game and adapt your tactics as necessary to facilitate that outcome. Arteta has hopefully learned a very important lesson: play to win every game
