It’s the end of the night
I can hear the river and see the moonlight
As it shines on her hair
But she traded her smile for a stare
And said “you ain’t going nowhere”
I didn’t see her hand
Oh but I can see lightening under her skin
When I spoke of another
And the plans that I had arranged
And how the leaves and feelings they change
And she said
“Baby I love you can’t you see
I’d give the world to set my heart free
But my hands are tied
When I look in your eyes and see
You’re nothing like me
Baby you’re cold”
She kneeled and she prayed
In the mud for my blood to just float away
And sink in a flow of regret
With the love and the leaves and the blade
And she screamed as I started to fade
“Baby I love you can’t you see
I’d give the world to set your heart free
But my hands are tied
When I look in your eyes and see
The death of a dream
Baby you’re cold”
In my lifetime I never thought there would ever be another band that would touch Lynard Skynard type music but Steel Woods well they have done it just one more great Southern band that you can’t deny
Desert storm US NAVY! Came home with a busted leg! I love this song! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🌹 To my first wife that died while I was on the sea! ❤️❤️
Never been a band that can somehow blend everything I love in music into a single masterpiece such as this one
Della Jane wasn’t havin it.
The way your songs tell a story, the emotion is there. You can feel it. It’s incredible.
Southern Rock with a country driven prog metal breakdown. I’m all in fam.
I can remember Wes winning the school talent show at Handley middle school when I was in 6th or 7th grade. He sang Good Directions by Billy Currington. Never thought I’d be listening to his music all these years later. Great stuff guys keep it up 👍🏻
Does anyone have a video?
@@Bouzoukiellas I’m sure someone does but I wouldn’t know where to start looking or who to ask. That’s been almost 15 years ago.
Anybody know another song with a symphony at the end? I listened to it the other day and just cant remember what it was called. Kind of similar instrument abut different tune
@@goldfleece2538 by this band? If not, my first thought was Gregory Alan Isakov

Rowdy bringing that Sevendust vibe here...killer song.....RIP Brother
A song hasn't hit me at first listen like this has in a long long while
ROWDY killed it on this entire record...what curtain call
First time hearing these guys. Where have they been, this is definitely a big show band.

There is NOTHING about this song that is wrong. It's absolutely brilliant!!
Discovered this fantastic band only a couple of weeks ago, blown away, superb
I'll be seeing y'all real soon in Asheville. Love y'all with my whole heart.
Absolute Banger. Morning coffee and this on
If your eyes won't pour just listen to this song and You Never came home...that'll let the rain come down alright
First listen to Della jane's Heart from their first album and Anna Lee from their second.
Exzellent. Best Way to kill my Frustration
Theres a metal break towards the end?!?!? Yes please
by and far my favorite song from them
I'm so glad I found you guys. Love your music
the quality of your voice is pure gold
All I can say is wow. Those guitars are amazing. Just bought the Album. Not sure why it took me so long to hear of it. Listened to "You're Cold" back to back almost a dozen times now... itunes..then my phone.. then youtube music and now youtube videos... soon to be on my jobsite stereo.. in my truck... you name it. Sorry for the loss of your bandmate Jason.. clearly a talent that will be nearly impossible to replace. I hope moving forward you guys keep this formula.. because it's a winner!
i've had this on repeat the last few days
Same here...that middle / end section just slays. Has Rowdy written all over it. Waylon, Sevendust, and Pantera in one song
Masterpiece.
One of the few Southern rock bands that hits the same nerv like Skynyrd, A.B.B, Allman Trucks Band, Marshall tucker, Charlie Daniels and M Hatchet does for me 🌟I Love your music! Please keep Up the good work and if its possible come and play for us in the South of Sweden 🌟🙏❤️God Bless/Chris 🌿

Hell yes! I was hoping there would be a third piece to this story! Freaking fantastic!
And a fourth with You Never Came Home
@@Essex626 yep, I was going through the album on here and commented before I got to it. I think I even commented on it too.
@@ericwhanger5111 bro, I didn't even realize I was commenting to the same person I was talking to on the other video.
I mean on Anna Lee
@@Essex626 lol!
Bloody hell, what a banger :o
Amazing!!!! Love the continuation of the story!!
I've listened to this for a while now. And today it happened to come on right after Della Jane's Heart.
"Wait... it couldn't be... can it?" I thought. So I went here and checked the comments. And yep, others picked up on it too. A long awaited sequel to Della Jane's butchery!
Yep, it goes Della Jane's Heart, Anna Lee, You're Cold, You Never Came Home. They are all parts of the same story.
@@ericwhanger5111 You Never Came Home, too? Damn, I gotta check that one out. Cheers for letting me know.
@@demoworldplayer Yep, it's Anna Lee waiting for him to come home but he never does.
