Mini JCW R56 265hp at Time Attack Italia

Eccomi qua, dopo quasi un anno e mezzo dal mio primo Track Day mi sono voluto mettere alla prova confrontandomi con i migliori piloti amatoriali d'Italia partecipando al Campionato Time Attack Italia categoria Street Limited.
I primi turni sono stati molto difficili a causa del cambio gomma obbligatorio per rientrare nella categoria Street Limited. Passare dalle “amate” Dunlop Direzza alle “sconosciute” (per me) Yokohama A052 è stato traumatico per via del comportamento totalmente diverso e molto difficile da comprendere.
La pressione della prima gara non mi ha lasciato per tutto il giorno e nel hot lap ho spinto al 100% e sono riuscito a strappare un 1.22,2 che mi ha permesso di chiudere in 5ª posizione a soli 2 decimi dal podio. Molto soddisfatto anche del ottimale di 1.21.1 che è diventato il prossimo obiettivo da raggiungere!

Here I am, after almost a year and a half since my first Track Day I wanted to test myself by comparing myself with the best amateur drivers in Italy by participating in the Time Attack Italia Championship in the Street Limited category.
The first session were very difficult due to the mandatory tire change to fall into the Street Limited category. Switching from the "loved" Dunlop Direzza to the "unknown" (for me) Yokohama A052 was traumatic because of the totally different and very difficult to understand behavior.
The pressure of the first race did not leave me all day and in the hot lap I pushed 100% and I managed to snatch a 1.22,2 which allowed me to finish in 5th position just 2 tenths from the podium. Very satisfied with the optimum of 1.21,1 which has become the next target to be achieved!
