Brandon gotta stop with all his sawchuk bias. It’s every week at this point. Bro gets no yards and Brandon wants to give him 20 carries. At this point Tatum is just a better Sawchuk as long as he can get the blocking down.
I get your take and don’t necessarily disagree, but I do believe Sawchuk is finding more of a rhythm and I think you need him. He has that patient running style and speed that will show up once the line creates a little more space.
Sawchuk is better than Barnes. The latter has no vision, elusiveness, and break away speed. If there isn't a hole to run through, Barnes will just run into the backs of the OL and try to get as much yards as he can. The dude can't create.

So you’re suggesting BV would go so far as letting his QB get sacked NINE TIMES by patsies just to disguise and keep things vanilla? 9 sacks! That’s not a coach being clever, it’s an O-line not up to the job.
I disagree, when you are missing multiple starters on offense you can't know anything, unless Tennessee drops 30 in the first half when the D is still fresh. If Tennessee grinds them out and scores 75% of their points in the second half after the offense has kept the defense on the field all game it's not telling you anything except the offense is struggling.
Was a good listen as a Vols fan trying to get OU perspective at this game. I'm honestly unsure about the game, not bc this year's team but just from years of being disappointed.
Sawchuck has already proven himself. If OU's O'line can't figure out the situation and start opening up holes, I see Sawchuck hitting the portal at the end of the year to find a team that can. He has his own future to look out for and I wouldn't blame him. Barnes: does he not know how to juke? Appreciate his fast powerful running game but he has zero ability to make someone miss.

I don't have a good feeling about this game. I think BV is a moron for not playing Nick Anderson at least a QTR last game he's going to be rusty. Guys on the OL are going to be rusty, but at least Josh Bates is not playing.
@@joshuamccall8043it the medical staff who makes the call if players go or not. The trainers base their call off how the player feels and how they look going through drills! When you're talking about soft tissue injuries, like Nick has been dealing with (hamstring) things are good until they ain't. It's not worth risking a hamstring strain turning into a hamstring pull or worse, a tear for a team like Tulane! I think if Tulane had gone up by 7 or more, you would have have seen Nick and possibly Andrel as well come in. But since we were never down, they didn't play. I played football and tore my ACL. I can say with almost 100% certainty that Andrel is still experiencing some swelling when he goes hard. Swelling brings pain, pain brings fear of it happening again/ something else is wrong.
Gavin Sawchuk averaged 6.2 yds. per carry last year. He averaged 6.2 the year before that. He has 16 carries this year and is averaging 2.1. The best Barnes has average is 4.5 yds a carry two years ago. He's averaging 4.1 yds a carry right now, and despite not being a starter, has twice as many carries as Sawchuk. If Sawchuk had Barnes' carries, he'd probably has better yards per carry average than either of them have right now. I do not understand the infatuation with Barnes. He never really done anything to earn twice as many carries as the Chuk. Is he somebody's nephew or what? Tatum is a star in the making, potentially better than both of them, but Sawchuk is more talented than Barnes and should getting more carries than five a game. Your not going to get into any kind of groove as a back averaging about five carries a game. That's ridiculous.
Sawchuk? What games you been watching BD? He can’t even make it to the line so far. He’s been awful. Holes? That’s just not accurate and besides, why trot him out then if he can’t make something happen when there aren’t holes. RB’s have to make something happen at some point. Barnes and Tatum have been better and that’s who you play. BD obviously has a soft spot for Sawchuk. One of the best RB’s in the SEC? Man BD get your head out as those are just bad takes on Gavin right now. You’re right, he has to have gaping holes to be productive and we aren’t opening up gaping holes for anyone so again why play Gavin if he can’t make it happen against the teams we have played so far.
Well let’s see. You steal days from your current opponents prep, to give to prep against UT, which is your superbowl game every year. Then you tend to implode down the season, losing against easy teams. This suggests your coaches spend all off-season laser focused on your rival, and don’t look at your other opponents at all. You usually don’t prep much for your bowl games and lose a lot of them. If it’s not the conference championship, your teams seem to half ass it. All this suggests character issues-a discipline problem. Why would the National media respect that?
I don't think it's homerism. OU has to play well to win. Everyone said Tennessee is viewed the better team and no one disagreed, but this game has all the big money going in on OU right now. Why is that? If Tenn wins, it's expected. And the picks all had it a close game.
Can The Sooners Pull Off The Upset vs Tennessee? No they absolutely cannot. The UO Football team is just not SEC Ready at this time according to sources. th-cam.com/video/r2XubffAVH8/w-d-xo.html
OU moneyline is the bet of the week. Tennessee fans (and Utah fans) are the worst fanbases of the early 2024 season. Weirdly cocky without beating anybody remotely competent. Watching Volunteer podcasters talk about this game I'm amazed how dismissive and unconsciously condescending they are.....there seems to be no concern they might actually lose.
Cale Gundy produced OUs best backs and was fired over woke BS. Sooners need to ask him to come back and fix the run game. If you can't see that Demarco can recruit but not produce great players, then you're blind.
Throwing out a lot of ultimatums we need slow down the run and disrupt them. Win are lose it going be crazy. After the game We need reset then play next game We will win this game we are not going to play perfect either will Tennessee
You're forgetting something, though! The issue hasn't been that OU just hasn't been able to figure it out. OU has had issues "figuring it out" because we've been down 6 of 11 starters on offense! Burks has been the only WR playing who was a starter going into our fall camp. We've had to play our 3rd and 4th string center, our starting tackle has been playing guard. We have 4 or 5 of those 6 guys possibly coming back for this game, though!😊 it's not just that we've been playing our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th string guys, those guys also happen to be pretty young.
I can see BV now: “Ok, let Jackson get sacked NINE TIMES, to fool everyone! Ok, perfect! 9 times. Check! They’ll never guess now, our o-line is actually our strength!

I want to say they were the underdog in 3 or 4 games that year. So LFG! BOOMER!!!
Throwing out a lot of ultimatums
we need slow down the run and disrupt them. Win are lose it going be crazy. After the game We need reset then play next game
We will win this game we are not going to play perfect either will Tennessee
Sawchuck is no where near the rough running back that Kenedy Brooks was!!!
Travis right about Sawchuck. You need time to get into rhythm.
Helped is like 46, not 42
Loll this is so funny
I don't have a good feeling about this game. I think BV is a moron for not playing Nick Anderson at least a QTR last game he's going to be rusty. Guys on the OL are going to be rusty, but at least Josh Bates is not playing.
If you had listened to any of the coaches shows this year you would know it’s not his call if injured players play or not. He is just as frustrated.
@@ThisIsLeeBird I wish I did listen. Let me guess it is the players that get to decide. That is bull shit.
@@joshuamccall8043 nope. The trainers.
OU 27 -24
Man Oklahoma sounds like Aggy crying about not getting attention
Ou has had 7 starters out on offense at least 4 of them are back neither of these teams have beat anyone lol how can you know who is going to win lol
OU 34-20

OU 31-24
There’s always been no respect for OU on the national level
Well let’s see. You steal days from your current opponents prep, to give to prep against UT, which is your superbowl game every year.
Then you tend to implode down the season, losing against easy teams. This suggests your coaches spend all off-season laser focused on your rival, and don’t look at your other opponents at all.
You usually don’t prep much for your bowl games and lose a lot of them. If it’s not the conference championship, your teams seem to half ass it.
All this suggests character issues-a discipline problem.
Why would the National media respect that?
Gavin takes too long to make a decision. Line isn’t good enough for that kind of running
Throw him the ball in space
The Big Orange tornado is heading straight for Oklahoma RUN!!!! 47-10 GBO
In your dreams. What has Tennessee done?
@hoel7367 Don't worry about what we've done you'd better worry about what we about to do to you. We're going to have our way with you in your house GBO
Travis talks alot
Dawg, I love hommerism lol
OU is 2nd to bama in accolades we should be talked about a lot. Us Ohio st. Bama,
I don't think it's homerism. OU has to play well to win. Everyone said Tennessee is viewed the better team and no one disagreed, but this game has all the big money going in on OU right now. Why is that? If Tenn wins, it's expected. And the picks all had it a close game.
If people were paying attention to what OU through three games, the national narrative is right. Offense sucked
Can The Sooners Pull Off The Upset vs Tennessee? No they absolutely cannot. The UO Football team is just not SEC Ready at this time according to sources. th-cam.com/video/r2XubffAVH8/w-d-xo.html
🙆🏻♀️🤷♀️🏈
OU moneyline is the bet of the week. Tennessee fans (and Utah fans) are the worst fanbases of the early 2024 season. Weirdly cocky without beating anybody remotely competent.
Watching Volunteer podcasters talk about this game I'm amazed how dismissive and unconsciously condescending they are.....there seems to be no concern they might actually lose.
Too much injury and inexperience on OL and WR. Poor game/time management We will lose by 17
Has Tennessee earned anything yet….. nooooo lets chill on the shit talk till game played
Arnold is atrocious
Cale Gundy produced OUs best backs and was fired over woke BS. Sooners need to ask him to come back and fix the run game. If you can't see that Demarco can recruit but not produce great players, then you're blind.
This podcast has become so fanboy amateur hour

Yea tell the tennesse players that too easy game nothing to worry about just gonna roll oklahoma 😂
There it is, the dumbest comment on TH-cam today.
Tennessee fans are so annoying-gonna get quiet tho after this Saturday.

So OU miraculously figures it out so because they are holding things back?
Love the delusional homerism
You're forgetting something, though! The issue hasn't been that OU just hasn't been able to figure it out. OU has had issues "figuring it out" because we've been down 6 of 11 starters on offense! Burks has been the only WR playing who was a starter going into our fall camp. We've had to play our 3rd and 4th string center, our starting tackle has been playing guard. We have 4 or 5 of those 6 guys possibly coming back for this game, though!😊 it's not just that we've been playing our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th string guys, those guys also happen to be pretty young.
I can see BV now:
“Ok, let Jackson get sacked NINE TIMES, to fool everyone!
Ok, perfect! 9 times. Check!
They’ll never guess now, our o-line is actually our strength!
