Looking crazy Sam….Bring on the gear as well…I love all your update vids. They’re so thorough that u can really get the scope of how things just have grown. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Awesome reef tank! Just started following your channel. I like that you are honest with your reefing experiences unlike some other youTubers out there. Keep up the great work!
What an amazing collection of coral you’ve got in there Sam, congratulations on two years and the amazing coral growth!! Zooming in from the top and going through it like this your tank seems endless. Good job, can’t wait to see the up and coming videos.😀
Awesome video Sam! Your dream reef tank looks absolutely stunning mate. Can't wait for more updates on this masterpiece. So sorry to hear about your job 😞.
Tanks looking amazing sorry I missed was rescaling mine and cutting dead heads off my hammers😂😂😂 your hammers look amazing mate love the gold torch to then the sps😱😱😱😱
You bet! It's been working very well, just does it's thing in the box outside, I replace the tube and clean the sleeve once a year and it serves me well
Hey Sam, I have those same Breville fans mounted over my tank. I have an Apex and have been trying to turn them off when the water temp gets too low so I don't work against my heater. Problem is these fans don't seem to want to start themselves automatically each time power is turned on at the mains (need to press power on...). How do you run yours? Have you managed to get around this?
I have mine set to turn on and off based on the breville app. They turn on and off each day at the same time, but vary their speed depending on the temperature around them. Works pretty well!
Looks great. Inspirational tank. Only 2 years. Imagine another 2... What PAR readings is your current light rig providing and what type of photo period are you running ?
That “wild blue from Deerpark” is crazy! I’d like to hear if/how much you have to trim colonies so they don’t kill each other, or is that not a problem if you stick to Acros? Love your content Sam, always look forward to it from Phoenix Az.
Many thanks! He gets some crazy nice SPS in. Too many ignore them without a fancy name 😅 With the corals growing into each other, I tend to let them go most times and see if they work it out or one will dominate. Much easier if they work it out than me constantly having to trim them ;)
@@ParkersReef I know you have it in your sump but do you dose to the display? I tried it thanks to your video and between that and dosing carbon at night when the lights go out I have defeated algae and dinos. Seems the bio diversity in the mud out competes with the nasties. Interestingly my No3 and Po4 have not gone down. So it seems that bio diversity of some kind is responsible. It took a couple of months for the dinos to completely clear off the sand bed. Rocks are loaded with coraline. I only dose the mud weekly though.
Great looking tank. Do you have any concerns with the back and forth wave movements? I have read that some tank manufacturers will not honor warranties if a standing wave maker is used. Tunze has a wave box and they state that the tanks life could be cut in half if using a wave box.
What % intensity are you running the kessils at? I love the Kessil shimmer but the Philips keep drawing me in so I’m definitely considering this exact combo
@@Blackbookproduct10ns the Phillips certainly do their best to remove the shimmer (a very t5 like blanket of lights - good and bad!), but the Jessie provide more than enough shimmer for my liking. If you really want, just have the Phillips schedule finish before the Kessil schedule and enjoy an hour or so of crazy colour, crazy shimmer :P
The progress growth and colors in you tank are stupid. I don't know how else to say it. He have done a really good job. I really questioned it when you tore down the old tank because it was very nice but this blows it away by a lot. You should be really proud of what you accomplished. You have one of the nicest tanks I've seen on TH-cam and it is only 2 years old.
Hi Sam, Tank is looking amazing! did you turn the flow down for the video or is that normally the polyp movement you get from your acro's? im looking for polyp movement reference to adjust the flow in my tank.
Sam, I'm just curious. You have a Walt Disney. Do you know if the WD started as an Australian coral? I have no idea myself. I was under the understanding that corals and invertebrates couldn't be imported into Australia. Not asking you to incriminate yourself.😄
It could have come from australia initially, but certainly became famous overseas after colouring up in aquarium colours. I believe the early WD pieces may have been smuggled in, but is now dairy commonly found for sale via legitimate sources :)
What an absolute dream tank! Thanks for sharing. Like 299
thanks very much!!
Lovely 👍...... two years already jeeeez time flys.
Sure does!!
Looking good Sam
Thanks Matt 👍🏻
Man. That is really a grazy lightning setup. Hello from GERMANY.

Looking really nice and colorful in there!
Cheers mate!
Looking good! The growth and colour of the acros are stunning, can't wait for the rest of the update specially to hear about new gadgets. Thanks Sam!
Cheers Antonio!!
Was about to comment I wanna see a full frontal of your tank, then you said it right at the end. 😁 we never get to see it Sam!
It’s coming!!

gotta be honest mate, if we can't be honest - we have nothing
Love the video WOW 😳 the tank is just gorgeous I hope when I put my tank together my dream tank terms out to be as beautiful as yours

Magenta is an Abrotanoids I reckon ;) Stunning - often they have magenta base and green (long) polyps - but this is all magenta - stunning and rare.
thanks mate!
Looking AMAZING 🤩
thanks Steve!

Nice one sam, amazing tank and filming. how many liters is this tank again?
it's about 1400 litres :)
Tank is looking fantastic, give me a chair and coffee and I would be in front of it all day.
Hahaha me too mate

Well done mate great colours there. Think I’m starting to win the battle of GHA in my dream tank after 7 months cycle. Let’s see.
Fingers crossed for you mate
Such a beautiful tank Sam. On my way to Deer Park aquarium, hope to meet you there and that you still have some of these frags 😉
See you soon!!
@@ParkersReef It was a pleasure meeting you earlier today Sam. Thanks heaps for the stag frag too 😉 settled in nicely 🪸
@@MrWagawaga Likewise mate!
Such a gorgeous tank! Can I ask, are you still running the uv sterilizeer and how well has it served you?
You bet! It's been working very well, just does it's thing in the box outside, I replace the tube and clean the sleeve once a year and it serves me well
I’m really starting to think wild colonies vs high end frags is where it’s at. Most my favourite in your system are the deer park wilds!!
Agreed…

Corals look great man. I wander if a few AF life source ‘storms’ might help to outcompete the cyano
Yep have been running it to help out :)

no none at all
That lpreview made me think it was a BRS video from Matthew lol
hahaha it certainly has that style to it!
What fan are you using over the top of the tank?
It's just a house fan, will go into some detail on it in the video next weekend :)
What % intensity are you running the kessils at? I love the Kessil shimmer but the Philips keep drawing me in so I’m definitely considering this exact combo
100% intensity :)
But I run all my lights at that 😅
How’s the shimmer? It’s hard to gauge. Some shots it looks great and others it doesn’t look like there’s anything.

Ok nice. Good idea! Last question. How does the color of the 2 lighting blend to you? What color % are you running each at?
😍
Thank you!

Na left the flow where it always is. Which does explain the wobbly camera at times 😅
@@ParkersReef thanks allot, will help allot with dailing in flow.
