Sherry Garza Definitely envious! Had a chance to see him live in ‘89 and passed it up. I was just a kid, not too far removed from high school. Figured hey, I’ll catch him next time. Huge lesson learned!
I just saw this and loved it so much! Your son is precious. I was reminded that my dad shared the blues with me so very long ago. Thanks for that and sharing your little man's joy as well.
What a great looking family! Stevie's keyboard player, Reese Wynans, a legend in his own right, is still recording and touring. Both with his own band, and primarily with Joe Bonamassa. Check out Joe's music too. One of the best blues guitarists ever.
String broke so he switched to get it fixed. If you look closely you can see string swinging around. He used to use extra strong strings cause he broke them so much.
He even used piano wire as strings at one point because his hands were so strong. Someone finally developed 12 and 13 gauge strings that could handle SRV's strong hands. He occasionally still broke those too. 😁
My late brother loved SRV and one day I had been thinking about my bro alot..hubby was outside with the radio on and all of a sudden this song comes on....I knew right then ,y brother was with me.
Best reaction yet!! Lil man never broke eye contact with the camera!!😂🤣😂🤣 Can tell u guys are great parents by the positive attitude of your boy. Great job Lil man! Always stay happy. You are what the world needs right now. Thanks for putting a smile on my face!!
The key to SRV's unparalleled abilities, other than his obvious talent is the size of his hands on the fret board of the guitar. For such an average sized man Stevie Ray's hands allow him to completely cover the fret board and compress the strings together, two sometimes three strings at a time. The ability to do this is what separates SRV from any other guitar play, ever. If you really want to see what makes the GOAT, the GOAT, just look at his massive hands.
Beautiful😅 Thank you my fellow brothers and sister as I am blessed having watched this video of your family's reaction to a SRV video that's over 30 years old now...Truly SRV loved his fellow mankind and is still blessing the world 30 years after his untimely death...He never once gave up on love. May many blessing be to your beautiful family..
Great choice once again. Stevie Ray will always be one of the best guitar players of all time. I really enjoyed watching Trey on the video, so energetic and polite at the same time. Win. Win.
HalfandJai...u have a beautful family with a beautiful spirit. SRV is a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon. I do not believe there is anybody who can rival him.....IMHO. I never cease to be amazed by his talent. Passed too soon.
He had broken a string, yet still played as if nothing had happened. Before the switch, you can see the broken string shimmering the in the stage lights. Then the switch off to a new guitar was so smooth and professional that he didn't miss a beat. Agai, another reason he's the GOAT. Great reaction!!!
That progression stevie is playing is a classic Texas scuttle rhythm. I've noticed that all kids LOVE IT. doesn't matter if the kids into hip hop, rock, country, R&B.. there's something about that scuttle sound that makes kids starts swinging their arms and marching their feet. . In Texas, even 80 year old couples get up and swing dance to scuttle... it's like no matter who you are it appeals to part of the human mind.
Your son and you... Thru Him, have discovered the greatest guitar player to ever stride the earth and SRV was quite a man as well, many Thanks for encouraging him to listen to such a fine artist and for having a great reaction too!
Watch his concert in Amarillo, Texas during “Voodoo Child”. His guitar strap actually came off, almost causing him to drop his guitar. His guitar tech René Martinez did a great job behind the scenes, always having Stevie’s back.
Stevie was one of the greatest guitarist that ever lived many people starve themselves after him he was fabulous place and play maybe one of his or Texas flood there’s met you could push play on any of his catalog and believe me you won’t be used more project your girl Liz love you both a little boy is just adorable
Yo I’ve been waiting for y’all to check this one out! Hands down one of the best moments Stevie had, dude broke his string and changed out while never missing a freaking beat! Damn I wish he was still here! Great reaction @HalfandJai
How about a shout out for Reese on the keyboards, he’s amazing. SRV, well he’s the most amazing talent and entertainer that has ever lived. I’m 60, saw him in 1984 in Jacksonville Fl. There will never be another. The G.O.A.T
It was great seeing you and your young son reacting to Stevie Ray together, Also it was an excellent reaction, too bad at the time you all seemed to miss the string break, but nice to see in the comments that folks pointed that out and i hope you went back to see this for yourselves just to see how fantastic Stevie and his team transitioned that changeover so flawlessly? Keep up the great work with you reviews as you're one of the best teams out her doing this....:)
Stevie Brock that stream and change that guitar and never miss a Beat, but you all didn't miss it! LOL I love that! A little man was into it from the very beginning and I love that more than anything! Peace y'all

GREAT LITLE GUY! WONDERFUL little laugh,& laughter is life!Starting him off right foot, or in this case, right fretted. Saw him in 1970 for $2.00 at a place in Arlington called PEARLS CHEROKEE INN. MIGHT HAVE HELD 200 PEOPLE & wasn't half full. He was young then but just this great! This was1979.🤠
He is PRECIOUS! What a sweet personality❣ He's got great parents & great taste in music!!!!! I'm a boy mom .. 11 and 7 yo. 💙 My boys LOVE music.. especially 7 yo. He knows more Pink Floyd, CCR, REM, & southern rock songs WITH lyrics than most 60 yo's 😂😂😂😂 I had to come bck on here and edit.. because he is the sweetest boy! That smile! 😍 And I bet he knows exactly when to throw that smile at ya.. 😂 Got momma and daddy wrapped around their finger! 😉 😘 So good to see y'all exposing him to ALL of these awesome genres in music. May not realize it now, but y'all are guiding a young boy into a man with knowledge by exposing him to various things, understanding different backgrounds ppl grew up in & how it helped to shape your life. Showing him that hard work, determination, loyalty, & the thirst of success in life is to be open minded and never judge a book by its cover. MUSIC IS THE GREAT UNITER!! ❤ SRV probably doesn't look like he is a shredder from a picture, but his guitar says otherwise. 🥰😘
I just found your channel about a week ago. LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact you include your children, and open their minds to all types of music. Most people stay in their own lane and never try anything else. In my home we have a hubby that's rock/metal, son that is emo/alt. and a daughter that is country. So you never know what sound is going to be playing...lol So THANK YOU for opening the door for others to maybe hear something for the first time that they might never have been exposed to.
My parents tell me about going to a Moody Blues concert where Stevie Ray was still "Double Trouble" and they opened the show. He said they blew the doors off and afterwards the concert turned to the "Moody Snooze" lmao
I love the natural afro look, too. GOOD JOB, MAN. Stevie Ray was about his age when he was stealin' his big brother's guitar and playing, then getting beatdown after beatdown - but still kept sneaking playin' time. hint hint, parents.
Ok..ya got my eye fluid rolling .. It warms me to see yall sharing SRV with your young son..and he was jammin! Yall just got a new subscriber and huge fan! God Bless Yall GOOD VIBES ALL THE WAY HOME!
My Mother cried when Elvis passed..I thought she was insane. I cried When SRV passed and then i understood.
That happened to me.
These parents are doing it right it’s good to expose kids to all different music from a young age especially blues
Stevie was awesome! He broke a string and changed guitars without missing a beat! Great reaction guy's!🤘🎸👊
Yep, my man was constantly breaking those strings!
I live in Houston and saw him many times. He played at Fitzgerald's one night and did exactly that thing, he changed string and kept on going.
Sherry Garza
Definitely envious! Had a chance to see him live in ‘89 and passed it up. I was just a kid, not too far removed from high school. Figured hey, I’ll catch him next time. Huge lesson learned!
As these people mentioned he broke a string, R Y'all not watching?? ♠W.G.
Pretty sure his Guitar Tech used to change tires at NASCAR :D
I just saw this and loved it so much! Your son is precious. I was reminded that my dad shared the blues with me so very long ago. Thanks for that and sharing your little man's joy as well.

Yeah man...little dude was vibing with the guitar...srv does the backup vocals
It's quite clear your son not only enjoys good music, but he has a great happy vibe and he is respectful to his parents. KUDOS, and well done.
One of the greatest guitar players ever. Such a tragic loss
I had the task of announcing his death on my college radio blues show. :-( He left not too long after another of my favs, Roy Buchanan.
What a great looking family! Stevie's keyboard player, Reese Wynans, a legend in his own right, is still recording and touring. Both with his own band, and primarily with Joe Bonamassa. Check out Joe's music too. One of the best blues guitarists ever.
Family oriented, positive energy and open minded. Who wouldn't love to see this? Plus SRV is a legend.
Keep doing what your doing!
A lovely family
String broke so he switched to get it fixed. If you look closely you can see string swinging around. He used to use extra strong strings cause he broke them so much.
He even used piano wire as strings at one point because his hands were so strong. Someone finally developed 12 and 13 gauge strings that could handle SRV's strong hands. He occasionally still broke those too. 😁

This is so wholesome & beautiful
He had broken a string, yet still played as if nothing had happened. Before the switch, you can see the broken string shimmering the in the stage lights. Then the switch off to a new guitar was so smooth and professional that he didn't miss a beat. Agai, another reason he's the GOAT. Great reaction!!!
Your little one is so funny! Not only was he grooving to the music he was hamming it up for the camera! Absolutely adorable.
