So, did we spend too much or is Philippines the ultimate cheap travel destination?? We partnered with SafetyWing - the ultimate safety net for travellers - Check it out 👉safetywing.com/nomad-insurance/?referenceID=thebomsaway&campaign=april-2024-yt&Ambassador
This is quite possibly your USP, explaining your expense report and sharing it as a link is so awesome... Love the transparency.... And I'm always here for the bloopskis PS: Eric looks huge sitting behind Sarah in the scooter😂
Thanks Harish! I'm so glad you think so. We like to be transparent with our costs - it's so hard to find any clear information online. Haha everytime we piece the bloopskis together, we're thinking of you 🤗 Also, yes, this makes Eric look like a giant 😂
Hi Eric and Sarah I just discovered your channel today while searching for info on BGC. I really enjoyed both the videos I watched and also subscribed to your channel. Kind regards. thatfoodiejeanette
So sad to see you go.. Hope to see you soonest in our beloved country. We love you because you love our country. Mabuhay and safe travels lovebirds. Can't wait to see you back ❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
It is costly because they were all over and Coron is really expensive $500. You can do this cheaper if you take inter island ferries and go do RORO (roll on and roll off with a vehicle)
Great job on your budget! We think it was great, considering that you were island hopping! Where else can you island hop and spend so little? Have a great time in Vietnam! John & Bev
How do you guys earn money while traveling? Aside from your social media? Tired of working in a corporate I might sell my condo unit and just travel haha
Wow! But for us Filipinos going back home for vacation, youll need at least $10K a month haha! Not sure tho, havent been home for 15 yrs. No idea of how much everything cost now.
Great point. That's why many people avoid visiting their home countries because it's a huge burden. They expect $ and gifts because you are from Canada and must be rich @@TFaithViajar
Which is why we said you’d have to budget more as a solo traveller. But for our budget of our experience, halving the total cost is what we paid per person!
Just add the other half of the accommodations cost to the single person cost. Single = Aprox $2,450 per 30 days. They did say this was specific to them and the sweetspot was 4 ppl too.
not bad for a budget but you spent way to much on food and your insurance is over priced i have lived and traveled in Philippines for over 2 years now and i spend about 28 dollars a day and that includes a scouter
Sorry to break it to you guys but you got robbed. You overpaid on accommodations for sure, $1226 is waaaaaay to high. Eating shouldn't of been over $800 either but I guess if you lived here you could get that cost down. That trip should've been around $2500 at the max lol

Where would you guys recommend staying for two weeks in the Philippines? Fellow Canadian on a budget 😅
We’re planning to go to the Philippines in May 2025. Which travel agency to chose to go to Bohol or Cebu?
Exciting! We didn’t use any travel agency and just booked everything ourselves.
Did all the transportation in the little taxis etc feel safe?
The guy is Edward Norton look alike
Not the first time I’ve heard this 😂
Hi, which month was this?
Nomad health has the best insurance
$250 going to manila for 2? Wow, thats expensive! Thnx for info.
Yeah definitely should’ve booked those ones in advance 😬

because you start visiting family, then you end with 10 to 12 people coming along with you and paying for everything
