- Go behind the scenes of a small farmstead goat dairy and see just where your food starts as they kid out their goats at the start of their fifth season.
Notes:
This is the last year we bred with a boer goat to diversify our herd for not just milk, but also meat. As you can see, we pulled a lot of babies. I can only assume it's because the kid genetics were too big for our dairy girls. As we go into 2022 we are excited to be kidding pure dairy goats again.

Throughout the show you can see that we very easily go into our goats to check for and pull babies. That's because we have delivered over 400 babies in our time as farmers and we feel comfortable with the process. You'll also see that some goats have duct tape collars. This is not recommended but, because of the weather we were having a hard time marking babies to moms. The collars were always made big enough that they could slip out if needed, but again, in over 400 babies we have never lost one to a collar issue.
