Sometimes it is reassuring to see a familiar cause and effect reaction. Like how Avi hitting a low note results in Jase's butt leaving the chair. It's an indicator that there is some stability in the universe.
Any time you say, "Who is this?", 90+% chance it is Mitch. LOL Oh yeah, congrats on 45K and growing! I remember when Jase only had a few hundred subs. So nice to see you get recognition!
Hey, I'm a sub. I can't fire torpedoes, but I'm still a sub. This video shows just how talented both Todrick Hall and Pentatonix are. The production quality and arrangement of the video are pure genius.
Todrick’s insanely talented! Singer, dancer, actor, rapper, songwriter, choreographer, costume designer, director, producer....he does it all. Just like Pentatonix & Home Free, once you go down the Todrick Hall rabbit hole, you could be there for a considerable while. His videos Pentatodrix, Black & White featuring Superfruit, (which is Scott & Mitch + Kirstie) & Mask, Gloves, Soap, Scrubs would be a good starting point. Enjoy!
Noted. He glossed over that in his music and made it sound like he went straight from Plainsville to LA. Artistic licence is understandable. Thank you.
The Trio also appeared in a 2016 episode of Bones. Kirstin had the most to do early on, but the guys had the most later in the episode. Mitch gets the best lines. th-cam.com/video/RIjyzpX2ER4/w-d-xo.html
I love that fact that a lot of those home songs they included in their Home EP. Btw Todrick Hall visual album for Straight Outa Oz is phenomenal and you might recognize some a capella angels.
Toddrick Hall's "Low" is another taek on Wizard of Oz, and really quite excellent. If you're feeling naughty, his "All That Azz" is a hoot. No stretchmarks!
If you want to do something timely from Todrick, you should combine a reaction to one of his most popular songs "Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels" with the parody he did of it called "Masks, Gloves, Soap, Scrubs" 🤩🤘💅👠🎶 Plus, there's always "Low" with Ru Paul or "Dripeesha" with Tiffany Haddish and a lot of celebrity cameos.
Love Toddrick Hall. He is incredibly talented. One of the songs in his visual album Straight out of Oz is "Papi". It features Nicole Scherzinger and is really, really great. th-cam.com/video/ccJF_g72Tho/w-d-xo.html The whole album is semi autobiographical. About his growing and then trying to break into the industry in Los Angeles. This song is about an agent assistant who insisted she could make him a star if he'd sleep with her.
Glad you got around to this one. More of a mini musical production than a song. I keep it on deck to show people how wildly talented and creative both Todrick Hall and Pentatonix are.
Great reaction to an incredible video. It has everything - great songs, perfect singing and humor. The 3 guys as Munchkins cracks me up every time! And it was fun to see Kirstie have such a big role in all this. She was amazing. Looking forward to many more.
And like the Oz movie, each character had a song about their issue (Scarecrow wanted a brain so his song was about thoughts; Tin Man was about broken heart; and then the Bully/Cowardly Lion). SO clever!! And Kirsten singing about shoes!! Loved it!!
Jase with every new character: "Is this Todrick? Is this Todrick?" Me: Jase, you'll know Todrick when he comes in. 6:53 Jase, you have to watch more Todrick Hall, his productions are Next Level. He has another Wizard of Oz inspired production call Straight Outta Oz which is practically a broadway play, I would watch that reaction.
I love that fact that a lot of those home songs they included in their Home EP. Btw Todrick Hall visual album for Straight Outa Oz is phenomenal and you might recognize some a capella angels.
more Todrick please!!! some of my faves of his: 4 the 90s, 4 the 2000s, 4 gaga, evolution of disney, Peter Perry, Britney and the Beast, Beauty and the Beat, Mickey Minaj, and Cinderfella
When you mentioned about how kirstie was leading the song except for Avi's low note at the beginning (at 4:18), I immediately thought of what your reaction will be to his lower note at the part when he was the lion (at 6:13) lol
One of my favorites! Great reaction! Your reaction to seeing Mitch in the beginning was priceless. I completely agree! He looks like a different person every time! It’s kind of a fabulous talent of his.
Thanks for doing this one! It always makes me smile, and your reaction was perfect. Somebody needs to write a Pentatonix musical for real. Not wanting them to abandon their music together, but all of them are made for the stage. Todrick Hall's "Black and White" is a logical next move because of his guest stars.
This is probably my favorite PTX and Todrick Hall videos ever! So glad you watched this, too! Hopefully you go down a Todrick Hall rabbit hole of videos now 😉😉
This is definitely my favorite PTX video of all time because of their acting chops on top of their INSANE voices, and Todrick Hall was the icing on the cake! But my absolute FAVORITE part was watching your face and being blown away by your reaction to not just by Avi and Kirsten, but the incredible medley of songs they put together! This is also the favorite of my granddaughter who loved the Wizard of Oz before this and now loves this even more!
Todrick is aweeeesome! He has a ton of videos but in my opinion two masterpieces which are his visual albums! The first one is straight outta oz in which he tells us his life story following the wizard of oz narrative and the second one is called forbidden, in which he inverts the entire world to show us how weird it is what the world is doing. So for example, being gay is the norm and being straight is illegal and punishable with death. It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen and I hope you can react to it someday ☺️
Toddrik has a whole Movie Music video called Straight outa Oz and its beautiful. Basically all of the music videos from that album put together as a movie with acting bits in between and narration. He has at least two albums like this that I know about. The other is called Forbidden. SOZ is about his life growing up in a small southern town and his rise to try and be famous, and Forbidden is a society reflective piece which is set in an alternate and reverse world from own.
Love, love, love! You had pretty much the same reaction as I did the first time I saw this video and I have watched it multiple times since. Can’t get enough of it. These guys are amazing as always!
This was my introduction to Pentatonix so I LOVE to watch reactors watch this because I get to feel the feels again the first time discovering them. I AM subbed and have been for a while so other peeps - SUBSCRIBE! it's a fun ride! I subbed for PTX but I've enjoyed Jase's exploration of Hamilton and Rent! It's good fun and great quarantine content!!! thanks Jase, love yo face!!!! 💚
I particularly enjoy "Low" by Todrick Hall. He is friends with the Trio; they all went to Martin High in Arlington TX. Just super-talented, all of them. Thank you for your reactions :)
Great reaction! I love how spontaneous and enthusiastic your reactions are. Keep it up, we’ll keep coming back. I’d love to see you react to Postmodern Jukebox - “Creep”, “All about that Bass”, “Dream On”, - Actually, anything by them.
My sisters used to watch and love the movie when I was born so my name got basically inspired by Dorothy... Don't know why, but I love this medley so much since the day it was uploaded 😍😂
Some of his earlier work is a series called "Pop Star High". Lots of modern pop singers back when they went to high school together. It's fun with lots of singing.
Todrick is an AMAZING performer he is able to do a lot. PTX also sings the ending of the video in there home video that they made over quarantine. Some songs you should check out are cheerleader, can't sleep love the 2016 live version, waving though a window, sing, cologne, natural disaster, see through, cracked, lean on, good to be bad, what christmas means to me, misbehavin', royals, we are young, white winter hymnal, carol of the bells, can you feel the love tonight, their whole new home album, rather be, can't hold us and problem. i have MANY more suggestions.
1. I've been subscribed since the hamilton react! 2. This video was my introduction to ptx after someone recommended it as a todrick production I needed to see. It made me think Kirstin was like the lead singer! Anyway, I was a fan after seeing this! Glad you got to enjoy it too!
When my high school’s drama club did the Wizard of Oz, our Wizard took his look from Todrick’s, and I didn’t know until I came across the video months later
Yasss I love Toddrick and Pentatonix !!! I used to watch this video non stop. You’re gonna love Toddrick’s other videos can’t wait for your reaction! ❤️❤️❤️
Jase. You became my buddy overnight as I watched you appreciate Pentatonix. I haven't watched all of your experiences with them but I was so pleased with the ones that I saw. I certainly subscribed and I hope other people do you need to get those numbers up you got plenty of people watching but, dammit, subscribe. Dude I just wanted to tell you that my wife passed away in March and Pentatonix was a group she just adored. I am hoping to find a way to get them to come to her celebration of life once this all gets over with. She upon passing asked me to do many things for her. Juan included reopening her resale business omgshops. Anyway long story short I bought a few storage lockers and I really screwed up my back and now doctors and made me bedridden for the next six weeks. It was a complete pleasure to discover you and it's odd for me because I actually don't listen to music. Anyway I just wanted to shout out to you as if you were my buddy and friend because you were with me in my pain in bed last night and I really enjoy your personality. Thanks bud
This is my favorite Todrick Hall video. I’m a huge Wizard of Oz fan. A few other faves from him are 4 the 90s (nostalgia overload), Evolution of Disney, 90s Disney, and Pentatodrix
Todrick is just a beast of a talent, and a hell of a wormhole to go down. He has so many great songs out there, "Expensive", "Over the Rainbow" and "Low" are a few jump to mind. If you really want to get the measure of the man you need to check out one of his visual albums either the autobiographical "Straight Outta Oz" or the very relevant "Forbidden".
Todrick Hall + Pentatonix = GREATNESS. They're so brilliant together! For your next Pentatonix reaction vid, could you maybe watch their cover of Say Something? Absolutely love that cover, and it hasn't failed in rendering reactors speechless or reduced to tears. Thanks&Love your stuff!
Jases' man-crush on Avi is one of the only things producing me serotonin currently

Todrick Hall does an impression of Pentatonix that is hilarious!
And after you watch that video you need to watch Scott and Mitch react to Todrick doing that video! Lol 😆
Michelle B so true!! I’m embarrassed by how many times I’ve watched that! But it’s too good! 😂
Maaaan do yall remember Pentatodrix ?! When that came out, I screamed.
Love how it reveals just how complicated the Daft Punk arrangement was leading to a well earned Grammy!
Yessssss!!!!!! It's so great!

Yes!! "Black and White" is an awesome song and the video is killer :-)
His visual albums Straight Outta Oz and Forbidden are so good! He is such a storyteller.
Gotta love when Kisten becomes the wicked witch walks in and says "Like your beard". Hilarious.
Todrick was on American Idol. He grew up with Scott, Kirsten and Mitch, though he was a little older than they were.
Citation please, because their home towns are hundreds of miles apart.
@@splendidpursuits He graduated from Arlington Independent School District.

corvus13 todrick went to Bowie high school in Arlington Texas. So different school same town.
There is a very early video of Toddrick and the trio singing their order at a restaurant.

@Tonjia Lewis Agreed. I went to that tour and the Forbidden tour the year after.
Please react to Pentatonix "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" with this cover they won their 2nd grammy.
He did, actually, but it's been blocked. That song gets blocked a lot for reactors for some reason.
Toddrick Hall's "Low" is another taek on Wizard of Oz, and really quite excellent. If you're feeling naughty, his "All That Azz" is a hoot. No stretchmarks!

You're reactions are so insanely genuine. That's what made me sub. 💪
