One YOGANA is around 0.25 kms. as said by Venkata Chaganti , USA residing, Video available on TH-cam now. The distance from Rameswaram to Sri Lanka and the RAM SETU Bridge was of One hundred Yoganas which is around 25 kms.

Excellent presentation of the Sri Ram Mandir ,Shri Sree Iyer. I was actually wondering about what type of architecture is followed in building this temple. You have walked me through the entire heritage in temple architecture, north of Vindhyas. Actually I used to wonder whenever I see the model of the temple in the print media that perhaps it looks like the Brihadeeswara temple. Now you have confirmed, yes it is. Possibly Raja Raja chozha during his conquests might have liked that architecture above Vindhyas and used that at Thanjavur. Your comments are excellent. Thanks and regards. Nice info about the Ram mandir. There is also the Hoysala style of temples which you can find in Karnataka, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Andhra. Then there are the odisha style and the Bengal-Assam style, I don't know what they are called traditionally.
Guru ji, do we have reference of this thirth places in Veda, We are fallen prey in purans, where lots of ultravirus versus can be seen against veda mantra. Veda is for entire cosmos, where as purans restricts ourselves limited to indian geography only.

Namaskaram Sree Iyer Ji, does this new Ayodhya mandir have a dedicated shrine to Sri Ranganathar who is the Kula Devatha of Ishkavku dynasty along with his immediate family (parents, siblings, wife and sons) ? Also does this 1980's design conform to Valmiki Ramayana or other authentic scriptures, any surviving temples from the time of Lord Rama describing the original temple that must have been at this site in Treat Yuga 6000 years ago ? I am concerned about the high risk seismic zone of Ayodhya and if the foundation and structure has factored into the design.

I belong to the Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin Community who speak Konkani Language which does not have a Script. Our Community are Shaivites whereas the Konkani speaking Vaishnavites are Gaud Saraswat. There’s is no single style called ‘Dravidian’ style. The architecture of the Cholas differed from the Pandyas. Both of them were different from the Chera style. The Rajarajeswara (erroneously referred to as Brihadeeswara - a name given by the Maratha rulers of Thanjavur) temple has no similarities with the Ayodhya or Somnath Temples. It bears more resemblance to the Pallava and Chalukya styles.
