Glad Lay cleared that up. Been a bone fan since 1994, but always wondered why Flesh wasnt on none of the album covers besides Creepin On Ah Come Up, and his solo albums werent on Ruthless. Years later, i had heard he was never signed to Ruthless, which made sense, but i never knew why. I just assumed that Flesh had legal troubles. Im glad Lay confirmed it.
Respectfully, there's is no other producer that could have been a better fit for Bone than DJ Uneek. His tracks were made for their flow and their flow was made for his tracks. They had the world wrapped up when creepin on a come up dropped. They had the mystique, the talent, the topics, the look, the tracks. Then 1st of the month drops later with one of the best rap tracks ever created imo. As far as who the better producer to work with them is DJ Uneek over Dr. Dre. A close second would be The Legendary Traxter. He produced for Do or die, Psycho Drama and Twista to name a few. He did Po pimp, Magic, Do what you wanna do, Adrenaline Rush album to name a few as well.
U-neek and Bone is the perfect combo- there are a few other people who made awesome tracks for them but U-neek will always be the real 6th member for me. Layzie Bone keeping it 💯.. the industry been hating on Bone since the beginning.. and damn near EVERY rapper back then was trying to bite their style.. you even hear their style in alot of rappers flow today
Bone changed the face of music in general. After they came out in 94 there were several groups that were clones and I’m not just talkin about Do or Die, Crucial Conflict, etc. Also Bone changed r&b because Bryan Michael Cox (who damn near wrote for everybody) admitted he was a huge Bone fan
@@BornToBeFamed I remember vividly Layzie saying that Mariah stole his wife’s singing style. And people jumped all over him about it. But he was actually telling the truth. She….did
The people Bone were working with didn't want Flesh on E1999 and Art of War. They didn't want to work with him. They said, Eazy E included Flesh n Bone. Also, they wanted Art of War to be more like Crossroads instead of letting Bone do what they wanted to. They said Eazy let them work how they wanted, but other people had their own visions and made bone sound how they wanted them to.
