I'm confused when it comes to your Daiwa 7'6" ML. The rod weight rating starts at 3/16 oz. Isn't it common when throwing hair jigs to throw a 1/16 oz. at times. And I know you can add a bit of plastic moreso to add casting weight and not for purpose of a trailer, but still I'm not seeing how that adds up if the rod was designed to fish hair jigs... I'm interested in that rod but this issue has created enough doubt to slow my jumping in too quickly. Maybe you could set me straight on this. Maybe going that low on the braid diameter and leader compensates enough to get that hair jig away from the boat, despite your slinging less than 3/16 oz.????
Yo Seth. Where the heck can I find a Daiwa Jacket like the one you have on there. Like seriously.

I think the hair takes on enough water to make it more castable
