SoberVision well, remember when he was acting as a elf? He wasn’t talking to use his magic to act like the elf. Also, he still used his magic regardless of the Grimoire. The only spell he casted from the grimoire was the one that summoned the things that ate life and mana energy.
I hope he also teaches it to Yuno once the arc's over. Since Yuno is loved-by-mana like an elf, he can potentially use it without the need to learn mana method.

That said, there are some differences: 1. Link also has a shield. Now that I think about it, since Licht's swords are basically magic items and his type of magic is sword magic, him also having a shield as a magic item might've been neat. 2. Link is typically a jack-of-all-trades & master of none, while Licht is a master of magic and swordsmanship, but little else (not that he really needs to be proficient at anything else). 3. Licht doesn't have a floppy green hat or an annoying fairy buzzing around him. Incidentally, Yuno: the host of Licht's unborn child, does have the latter, but that's beside the point.
