God, growing up in DC watching him play. He is my idol. I was about 13 i think when i saw him at game drop a career high 47 points on the grizzlies. It was mostly jumpshots and they said he couldn't shoot. I can't stop crying, we need to retire his jersey in the rafters. Thank you John Wall, you did so much for our city on and off the court. You are a LEGEND!

But he was out in the community, he was proactive in helping the minorities and kids in DC and he cared about DC for 10 years. There's not a lot of guys like that in NBA history.
