Thanks for posting this. I grew up watching WNGE-TV through my teen years. It changed its call letters to WKRN-TV a few months later when Knight-Ridder bought the station from General Electric. My dad worked for GE, and late Aug. 1980 WNGE had an open house for GE employees & their families. I wish I had tapes from this time, but unfortunately my family was still about 5 years from getting our first VCR. 7:08 - I remember this Gillette Foamy commercial all these years later. 8:54 - an early credit for Julia Duffy 11:38 - Anne Holt on the local news promo break
