    Yay, you said "fewer hours" instead of "less"! Bravo.
    Have the same stapler. The handle...no, the lever you press to release a staple, is jammed and I can't figure out why. It will only depress about a half an inch, as though there's a lock on it, but I can't find one. Was hoping that was the problem with yours. I don't have any jammed staple (which I don't think would keep the lever so immobile anyway), and I took the spring thing and the staple retainer out, but there didn't seem to be any problem there. So, I guess I'll look for another video now. I hope there's not some simple release that I'm forgetting about. Haven't used this staple gun in about six years.

      These things seem pretty finicky once they get worn
      And my mother was a teacher and I have a 4 year degree, so I’m not allowed to have improper grammar 😉

    Think I've got the same deal you have at the end with an Arrow T-50 gun here. From what I could figure on mine, I've decided that flat "hammer" mechanism is no longer being raised high enough to clear the forthcoming staple, so before it grabs anything, it just slams back down with nothing loaded. Don't know if that's a common issue with wear and if there's anything which can be adjusted. Just removing the front end only gives you access to a couple of the parts. Thinking about maybe grinding some off that hammer bar, but I'm not quite ready to ruin it. ;-)

      Mine shoots nothing evwn when full of staples. Arrow makes some junk. It does one thing and they cant handle a simple tool with 1 simple task.

      @@VirantRoss well it still technically doing one thing it's just a glorified staple holder

    What you were calling retainer clips (and the resulting need for what you called retaining clip pliers) are just simple "e-clips". You pop them off with a small flat blade, and snap them back on with needle nose pliers. Sometimes they spread on you, so you just close them back down to their original diameter (so they hold well) with your needle nose before snapping them back into the groove in the shaft they were gripping. Yuri.

    I just took my Arrow T50 apart to see why it keeps jamming. Turns out the rails that the staples ride on were curved inward (toward the centerline of the stapler) visibly when I sighted down the rails, so that the staples had some looseness or play at the hammer end. This play would seem to allow the staples to get cocked when the hammer fires and I think this is why it kept jamming all the time.
    I bent the rails outward using a screwdriver until they looked straight. Made sure the staples still tracked smoothly all down the rails and reassembled. Shot 10 staples with no jamming so I think I may have fixed it.
    I also noticed the hammer blade appeared to have some twist. That's what happens when you loan tools to people who don't understand tools.

    The nuts for the screws on mine do not come off even when I use penetrating oil and vice grips. Any suggestions to remove them?

    You might want to get a small extension lamp on your bench, and shine it on what you are filming. Most of it is so dark it is not possible to see what is going on, or what you are discussing. Just an FYI.

    Why is it that my staples don't go all the way in the wood? It's partially out. Is the staples too long or something or is my stapler gun???

    • @arrowfastener
      @arrowfastener 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there. Yes, it sounds like your staples may be longer than needed for your project. You can learn more about picking the best size staple for your project here: bit.ly/2gG9Nbz. However, what you're describing can also occur when the tool is not kept flush to the surface while firing. For a staple gun like the T50 in this video, that can be tough to do unless you have a large grip span and a lot of grip strength. Often using a forward-action staple gun like the PowerShot T50HS or one with a smaller grip span like the TacMate can eliminate this issue. We hope that helps! Is this the difference between the t50pbn and the t50m?

    • @arrowfastener
      @arrowfastener 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The difference between the T50M and the T50PBN is that the T50PBN shoots 5/8-inch brad nails in addition to shooting all sizes of T50 staples. The T50M only shoots all sizes of T50 staples.
