    Which capacitor did you use?

    Great video!
I was wondering if you have any knowledge of the Minolta X700?
With my X700 everything works fine except after each shot the meter shuts off, and the batteries die within 1 day.
I suspect a busted capacitor but I'm not sure. Do you maybe have any insights?
    Cheers

My main SLR is an x700 and I’ve fixed a couple in the past. Sometimes a dead cap can cause that issue. However I’ve had one or two that have had a deeper problem going on that I’ve yet to resolve.

@@TInyGravitas Did this camera initially have no power at all? I have my Dad's old x300 and neither the shutter speed meter nor the self timer lights come on. Also, the shutter arm is stuck.
I've read about the capacitor issue for the stuck arm but people seem to mention that the lights come on then go off. I have no lights whatsoever. Could the capacitor fix still be the answer?
