I definately love TikTok for content. TH-cam I struggled with bc as a Launchpad DJ and producer the platform had its long standing established names in the community. So I decided to go for TikTok in December 2018. I'm now at 10.2K followers and counting. Alongside using playlists on Spotify I have managed to gain 5K streams for a track I recently put out. I highly recommend TikTok, it's still new and fresh, so easier to grow on than TH-cam and IG. Plus as a Launchpadder it just lends itself well with the younger audience and the nature of what I do. I post Launchpad performance vids and also take trending tags and see if I can work the Launchpad into that somehow. It can be funny or informative but I like the memes and I like Tech House / Bass House style stuff so I often make tracks and vids around that.
Fun fact: the asian guy at 2:20 is actually my brother. What a coincidence

been watching you for a week now! So much value thanks so much :) Some of your videos or ideas don´t apply for every emerging artist thoe (exemple: ,,document your life, your backstage or a live session´´ : doesn´t apply to a college student who makes beats in his room alone at night before going to mcDonalds to work and pay off his rent) just an exemple, u might think abou it next time!

I've been trying to get more involved with other bands on Submithub, and writing down ideas for youtube content - but i'm behind on the making of it because i can't stop writing music instead of content! How does someone like me get to work with Burstimo? Trying to get involved with Damian Keyes as well, but both of you guys seem to know whats up, and I'm struggling to do the stuff I need to for social media stuff because i always end up with a guitar in my hand instead of a camera! I love your videos and ive learnt a lot.... the problem I have is, Im a more mature artist trying to make it but all this batch content material, although I get, is very much for the young minded kids appealing to a younger audience. You wouldn't want to see an artist in their 30's singing into the camera.... it's just a bit sad and I wouldn't be comfortable. It would be really great to see more help assisted videos on the more mature artist! We are still here trying to make it too! xx much appreciated

I loved the video. I am singer-songwriter and the thing that scares me about creating such content on say tiktok or Instagram is coming out as being cringey. I still wanna have genuine interactive experiences with those who listen to my music and also tell my story behind my songs. What would you guys suggest I should do?
I recently discovered the heavy EDM artist CRWTH (yt channel CRWTHTV) and he absolutely nails it on content. I discovered him looking up tutorials and I was immediately engaged in all of his different socials, which has not happened with any other smaller youtube musician for me. He seems to do everything himself, from (obviously) music production to graphics and 3D modeling. He even creates soundbanks for other artists to use. I think you should check him out if you want a really good example of how to self-start, especially with EDM.

Im growing my audience organically by networking instagram. Its sloww but its real but at the same time im very much struggling with marketing side of things. Idk if ads work if they do how do i set them up. Should i use google ads facebook ads? Or just boost post on ig ? Like so many questions
The first video had a guy with a nice smile and a positive vibe and he is a musician dancing because that's popular on TikTok. That's enough to get followers, I believe.

I like the idea of making content that drags fans to other platforms, that makes perfect sense. Would you say that this strategy probably takes the most time as people don't generally like to move over to other platforms?
I'd say it's the strongest strategy as it means you're not putting all your eggs in one basket and you can populate all the social channels with content with ease, rather than having to create separate content for each

Hi, I have a question for you. Our bands instagram account has over 13,5 k followers, but we have problem with making it official. Sending a picture of what kinda document can surely make insta make us it an official account??
Followers don't always mean getting verified. You can only get verified if it's proven there are other accounts pretending to be you, you have press coverage surrounding your name, you receive a certain amount of DMs etc.
I wouldn't get too hung up on it though. Focus on the engagement and the fans
Thank you for your response I appriciete it. We are focusing on engagement, we talk to our fans through DM's, repost and save all support people give us, coz we are so grateful for it.
Insta is the tool that got us signed and played all around the world, so we spend lots of time on it. Though, there are band accounts with less followers, engagement and lets, say recognition - and they got the blue label. That's why I'm asking is there some way we haven't think of??

this is all very well for all the hip young things but what about us boomers....gen x....we are to old to know what tic toc is...who wants to see my old mush over snapgram or what it is? but yes gen x is still producing credible music...but we are from a different time...no internet...no phones nothing...we had many great music programes on tv nightly...we had a capitive music press,we had to invest time and money in to bands...not like today u pick and choose what u buy...or just listen to for free....we had to buy albums...if it were crap we have a crap album or give it away!!we had to go to see live bands by time i was 16 i was out 7 nights a week taking a chance on live music id stay the whole evening and watch all the bands on the bill i saw a support band once in a small venue in birmingham 2 years later they became the biggest band on the planet...nirvana...it was the only way to see bands...how many here go see their mates band then leave without checking other bands?...anyway my point being what about us old boomer bands that still produce credible music yet we dont really understand this social media thing as who wants to see that!! how do we do it what do we do??we are not on fleek...point or what ever....it works for you...but maybe not us!!
