It is believed that the deity in this temple is worshipped by Poet Kalidas. The legend goes that the great poet Kalidas was originally uneducated, but with his great devotion to the goddess Gadkalika here, he acquired unparalleled literary skills. This temple is popularly called as Ujjain Mahakali. This temple is one of the eighteen Shakti peethas where the upper lip of goddess sati fell here.
Sandipani or 'Krishna Ki Pathshala' is the place where Lord Krishna, Balram and Sudama has received education under Guru Sandipani. The skills learned by the three are depicted through exquisite paintings on the inner walls of the Gurukul.The very entry inside the main hall gives you instant positive vibes.The very thinking that Lord Krishna studied here makes it stronger.
Bharat mata temple is dedicated to Bharat mata and is wonderfully made and maintained with a huge map of India just outside. It is just outside Mahakaleshwar temple and a must visit for its uniqueness. Bharat mata its an idol for indian patriotism , such type of places are trying to create a feeling of patriotism in every indian citizen.
