Triple G Thanks! It is a nice soap. The scent is well blended but you still can find the scent notes in there and the soap base has everything to give a good shave and is really easy to lather. The price is also right, I am really happy I looked at it at Maggard. Now I know how the soap base performs, I probably will grab a couple more soaps from them in the future
Thank you Mark! It's nice to flip flop between the big new soaps and the lesser known, anyway for us canadians. There was so much choice at Maggard, a lot of soapmakers that are not well known here but are totally worth it. Variety is the spice of life after all...

Storybook has other great scents from what I could smell at Maggard but I was looking for a good lavender for the summertime. Maybe I will stock up on their other scents if I go back next year. As for being safe, don't worry, there is only black bear where we are going and no palm frond... after seing what they did to you, I'll pick black bear any days...
Another great review. The base on this line of soap works well enough from the couple times that I've used it. They seem to have some great scents as well. Hook is really good imo. Thanks for your work.
Thank you Steve! I did smell Hook and it was really nice but I was looking for summertime scents... needless to say I regret not grabbing the set now... I really liked how they worked their scents, the performance is not premium but still gives a really good shave and for someone who likes to buy sets and his budget conscious, it's a good soap maker to look at. The AS is doing a really nice job on taking care of your skin.

@@JMac. I like to review these lesser known soaps. They don't bring tons of views but IMHO, they are just as good to review as the bigger soaps. Also, some weeks, you will have the same new soap reviewed 3 or 4 times, it's nice to go in a different direction sometime...

Can't wait, me and the wife have a few days booked to go paddle on the Matapedia river bordering Quebec and New-Brunswick then back in Halifax where we have plans for paddling a few spot along the coast. We have been talking about Oak Island for a while now, we may very well get to it this year if the wind cooperate. As for the soap, the base is really nice and I really appreciate the scent. I really like lavender in the summer and this one I find really interesting.
Great shave! I changed the soap with somebody cause i couldn't get the other soap. So i got the Elysium for it. Like it! I get mostly mint scent. But a nice one! Performance is nice too. I am thinking they stopped making it, at least it vanished from the site...
Bon j'ai écouté ton vidéo avec les sous titres, certains apprennent l'anglais avec Homer moi je vais essayer avec Dartmouth Shaving haha Bon si j'ai bien tout compris pour résumer: -La brosse semogue 830 est ta meilleur en poil de cochon -La mousse n'est pas volumineuse mais assez épaisse, ça fait le boulot niveau glisse et protection -Senteur surtout de lavande, un peu poivrée -L'après rasage sans alcool avec senteur principale de lavande, cèdre et menthe, la vanille et le santal sont très discret -C'est ta senteur de lavande préférée -Tu as réussi à trouver le bon rasoir pour la Personna blue -Pis tu pars en vacance pour une coupe de semaine et tu nous reviens mi juillet Pas facile pour un non anglophone comme moi... Bon camping!
