Bought a Midea AC for $400, and about a year and a half later, the AC stopped working. I kept it in excellent condition, regularly cleaning it. They told me their warranty only covers 1 year of failure and wouldn't even assist with the cost of getting it fixed or replaced. The most they would offer if to give me the number of nearby technicians. Avoid Midea at all costs. Above average price for sub-standard products/service.
@@jesuspena324just cancel it or send it back I would recommend black & decker, Hisense, or Frigdare just do some research this video has some good options too
@@gigglybeast I see TH-camrs post and vouch for them but idk if they’re paid sponsors. It arrives tomorrow I’ll try it out and run as hard as I can the rest of summer if anything happens hopefully it’s within warranty
Unless they come with more the one year warranty tells you the company does NOT trust the quality of their products. ALWAYS get extended warranty if you get one to replace it after the two to three year mark before they fail.
Makes me laugh that Friedrich is never on these "top" whatever reviews. They are the gold standard of AC units-especially window/thru the wall units; hands DOWN.
Windmil is garbage!!! Last just over a year. Right after warranty ran out. The control board just freaks out. Beeps, turns on and off different modes and just goes crazy. Common problem with these apparently! Ashamed, because I did like it when it was working correctly
I bought the LG unit and it was garbage. It was so loud and couldn't cool the room down more than 5 degrees. I was better off just opening the window to let the night air in. I returned it.
@@alphadragongamingFTW I did. I got 12,000 BTU rated for 550 square foot room. My room is around 400 square feet. The LG unit for me was garbage. I just bought the Midea 12,000 and just installed today. So far so good and quiet.

I wish I saw this early I just ordered one from Amazon.
I was just reading a lot of reviews on Lowe’s that had very similar experiences.

Energy consumption rate is essential information if you want to stay cool during a blackout or brownout.

Yeah isn't life so annoying nowadays? and it happened to fast.

i have read a couple comments on them, most of them say they have gone down in quality in the past years.

did you get the right BTU for the room? That can make a HUGE difference. I generally go larger in BTU than the recommended BTU for a room size.

I did a wholehouse mini-split from LG and it has been a nightmare since day one. I will avoid anything from LG.
Nice ad video.
