    An excellent video. I went through it and took snaps at key places. Wrote descriptive text on each image. Will view pics on my mobile phone when I depart Suvarabhumi. Thanks a lot.

    I’m always amazed to see how many people can’t follow the clear signs at BKK but this is very helpful to show these people where to find the info they need .👍

      For most it is the first time in a completely country. New sights, sounds, and smells. It gets a little bit overwhelming :)

    One thing to be aware of is they sometimes have long que,s at the passport control section,it can take ages to get to the counter,i nearly missed my flight because I never allowed enough time for this situation,if this happens to you be polite and ask the people in front of you in the que if you can skip to the front of the line as you are going to miss your flight,i found that all the people let me que jump and I just made my gate before it closed,.it makes you very worried/stressed and anxious if you end up in this situation,..

      You can also buy fast track security and immigration upfront. But obviously it is much easier to cheaper to allow additional time when it is really busy 😊

    See if your airline allows online check-in if it does you get a dedicated lane and this even if queuing usually goes faster. Last time I left BKK via Qatar you could check in at anytime and there was no queues. Yes I find that every time you turn a corner after checkin you have to show somebody, even the cleaner, your passport. I find that wearing slip-on shoes and shorts I do not remove my shoes, any others and always remove shoes.

      I agree. If people can check-in online they should do so. The counter at check-in for those is called "baggage drop".

      @@FlightBlog Depends on the airline, Qatar use the same counters and give preference to online checkin but use them all ( economy ) when no online checkin customers in lines.

      Thank for letting me know Graham. I only flew with Qatar Airways in the front cabin from BKK so i was not aware of that.

    I have to travel back home alone from Bangkok this April and I'm TERRIFIED! The airport in my country is tiny and it's so easy to find where you need to go. Even after watching this video I'm scared. :'( It's my first time travelling alone. My biggest worry is finding my check-in counter, I can ask the staff there for further instructions but before that point I have no one to ask as very few people speak English. And also, can anyone tell me if they print out the boarding passes for free? And if I have a connecting flight, will they print out the boarding pass for that one as well or will I have to go to the check-in counter in the next country? I'm travelling Thailand-Russia-Serbia.

    • @telaandias3531
      @telaandias3531 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      the boarding pass is free : whether you're going to get both your boarding passes at the same time depends on what airline(S) you're flying. If the airlines are in the same alliance or in codeshare, especially under the same booking, they will likely print the passes all together in BKK. If not, you can have the next one printed in russia. there are signs quite frequently placed along the ends of the checkin rows which show which row you must use. It is also possible to research that ahead of time or just tel, your driver to go to a certain entrance.

    Wheres is the anna desk? And which gate is? Te inmigration is in the 2 o 3 floor?

    • @FlightBlog
      @FlightBlog  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ANA check in desk is at row L. Immigration is after security control and located on the same level as the check-in desks.

    • @raulhilton
      @raulhilton 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Flight Blog but i saw you take a upstairst to 2 o 4 floor to passport control... wich floor is for internacional departures ?

    • @FlightBlog
      @FlightBlog  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      you need to go up for security control, and then you go down for passport immigration. When you fly business class the special security check is on the same level. so no up and down.

    • @raulhilton

      Flight Blog ok , i need a inmigration card to departure?

    • @FlightBlog
      @FlightBlog  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, When you land or enter the country by land you get one arrival and departure card. The departure card should be kept with your passport and you need it when you leave. In case you lose your departure card you can get a new one from the immigration officer at passport control in the airport. Its not a big deal. happens all the time

    Kindly ask Is there a service to accompany passengers with any disability on landing and departure and taking them to a special office while waiting for transfer.

    • @telaandias3531
      @telaandias3531 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      you must book disability services via your airline. Often, they could just be left at the gate lounge in transfer, however in other cases they could just be taken to an airline lounge or a disability lounge. If you book with THAI airways, you will then need to inform them ahead of time and they will have staff wait at the arrival gate and then escort the passenger to some form of temporary waiting place and then move them to the next flight.
      It it imperative that you book this service before the passenger flies by calling directly or including it in your online reservation.
      this service is available usually for all airlines

    Your arrival video showed the best place for currency exchange (bottom floor by the trains), are there any places in the departure area or should we take care of exchanging baht back to dollars while in Bangkok?

    • @FlightBlog
      @FlightBlog  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      All other places inside the terminal will have the same fixed much lower rate.
