We use video games and cinema as an escape from woke sh*t, we can't even do that with most big-name titles anymore because the woke narratives are being made the base models for plots of the games we're playing. I just want to solve puzzles, stop the bad guys, save the kingdoms from a prophecied eternal despair, and have fun doing it while not having to deal with political agenda inserts in my favorite franchises.

You kind of make it sound that Rachel wrote the script. She didn’t have anything to do with the writing although she does support the narrative this new woke Snow White has. I would prefer to see the Daily Wire version of it, or even my local theatre’s pantomime of Snow White to the Disney film.
Before Disney started going this woke route they were the best, no one could beat them in terms of quality and storytelling though many tried. Dream Works, Warner Brothers and a few other studios, but Disney was always THE animation studio. Now they are losing money just because of this agenda that only they want to see. Disney has done the impossible taken a lovely character like Snow White and made her unlikable. Gone are the characteristics that endeared her to not just other characters in the film/story but to the audience too. To have a successful film there needs to be something in it that makes the audience care about the protagonist, but in this 💩 I really couldn’t care less about her.
The Whistle while you work song that showed so much about S. Ws kind caring, helpful, respectful loving and leadership qualities in the original has turned into.

We could make the argument about "loosing" the role if we expect that Dailywire's version will get remembered and played to children at home by their parent's while Disney's falls into obscurity (as all their live action remains did - from my point of view anyway). And that's something that will take years to confirm as Disney's will make a lot of money at release even despite all the controversies (eg. Ziegler being annoying bossy antisemite and all the wine bs surrounding the movie) + if Daily Wire releases on Bentkey (or how is it call) only then there is no chance. That's hella limiting factor

It will be fascinating to see what the Daily Wire gives us using the fairytale as the source material. I'm looking forward to it. But let's mention what Walt Disney gave us regarding the prince.
The '37 version shows a prince hearing singing of a princess, someone he is already familiar with. To gain access he dismounts and jumps a simply wall. This demonstrates the emotion prison created by the step-mother, so if the young princess really wanted to escape, she could have easily. She is trapped by situation. When she does escape being executed, we watch someone overwhelmed but with the strength to survive. When she trespasses into the cottage, she shows everyone the giving and wonderful person she naturally is, and does not demand the dwarfs treat her as a princess. They learn to care for her, and she for them. When finally poisoned by the Queen, the dwarfs treat her as the most precious creature they know, and when the prince does arrive, it is the story from dwarfs which promote Snow White as not only a beloved friend, but someone worthy of saving. Everything we've seen on the "improved" Disney version destroys what 4 generations of family have loved.

I don’t plan on seeing either version, but if I were, it would be Bret’s version. No interest in watching a butchered version of a classic fairytale. Disney needs to write something feminists if that the story they want to tell, not take something and mutate it to fit the “message” they want to put out. But like everything else Disney puts out today, it’s got to be female empowerment at the cost of everything they’ve done in the past and it’s all failing.

It’s funny. I all for modernizing our traditional fairytales. I mean I LOVE Sleeping Beauty even though they decided to focus on the villain instead making her a hero. I loved BOTH of the Malecifents! I mean, after all, Walt had to change the Brothers Grim version before he introduced to the masses. I don’t even care that Snow White is being played by a Latina. It bothers me that it seems to be not cool to have a strong man in a role who, I don’t know, maybe, HELPS Snow White to defeat the evil queen…. And maybe along the way they DO fall in love… I mean, what’s the matter with that?? Or maybe they focus on the Evil queen a little more and flesh out that story, or how about the 7 Dwarves. Why can’t have have a story about them and then how they feel about this girl invading their lives?? There are SO MANY different things they could have done!
