    2 suggestions if I may :
give it a try, cutting your logs to 20cm firstly, the splint , most likely needs only a single lift of the sledgehammer…
cancel the way ahead to screw your splinting device into concrete blocks, look for/ask St.Nick for a tree stump, the very last section of a tree and screw it onto it. After 4-5 years it may rot away still perfect to refill the raised beds.

You have great land. The Bulgarian word for agriculture means "to create earth" , so you have my deepest respect. And I love your drawings and design.

I believe you can create an affordable glass cover for the well, just creating a metal or wood frame, leaving several small squares were you can place regular glasses (commercial sizes) or even some type of transparent plastic.
Try to check usual sizes that are normally wasted by glass stores and you may aquire cheap and cut your self on the right size to fit in.

As always, a very enjoyable and interesting time with you. Your land is precious, especially the water. With your love of growing things you two are devoted stewards. Your animals are my favorites. Albi owns every production. They are all adorable.

    I love it !
putting together the drawing skills with an orientation on your land, highlighting it is a process not a „200.000€, we called in 3 dozends of workers, landscapers and gardeners and just enjoying the sun“ and to underline there is space for development but no immediate need for rush.
    well done ! 😊🌱

If you’re wanting to grow Camelia sinensis for tea, it likes slightly acid soil, you can buy small soil testing kits from garden centers or online., but to be honest, that summer heat might be too brutal. I would try lots of different plants you could make tea blends from, and see what grows well. Chamomile is a good cash crop in some areas, and there are so many other plants to infuse, tulsi, some of the sages, definitely mint family in that wet ground, hibiscus, monarda which is used to flavor Earl Grey (bergamot, though there is also a citrus bergamot). Citrus is always good to flavor teas… great idea, teas are always good and can be very medicinal, very good in these times of viruses and increased interest in natural health. Lovely little tour, thank you 🙏

    • @FrankieOffGrid

I think the law refers to any newly built wells.. but they are quite dangerous so it would make sense for them all to be covered.

Just a thought that occurred to me a while ago...have you considered adding a stone room on to the bedroom-to-be and turning it into your kitchen-dining-living room, and turning your existing kitchen into your bathroom? Maybe youre not allowed to increase the foot print of the dwelling?

We had a couple of wet places that never dried up, so my mum planted some willows and it dried up . She carved out a sitting area in the middle and she would have her tea under it every day. With the good weather you have you can plant just about anything. I wonder if banana trees would grow. Wouldn't that be lovely?

Nice to get my head around the layout better, thank you. Wouldn't some kind of a metal mesh cover be better & cheaper for the well? Possibly timber framed with cross pieces & some decent mesh/small hole fencing type material fixed on so nobody can fall in. It'd be removable then for maintenance etc.
