    Celine's facial expression on the dry leaf made me smile. Don's reactions to great tea is also fun but I love when Celine just internally flips out. And I wish the bloopers didn't have the cuss words bleeped but I understand since this is sort of a family friendly channel. Don, the bloopers show your frustration but know that we love them as much as the final cuts & the bloopers are understandable if you're tea drunk for a lot of the mishaps lol! Mei Leaf got me to deep dive into tea & I've been loving it ever since. So thank you both!

    Happy New Year! Wish I could try it, but it it were easily available I wouldn't be able to justify the expense. If I had it, I'm not sure I could convince myself any time was special enough to drink it. I've never had a JJM and am still holding on to my little package of SS JJM. I drank tea for the first time in 10 years, once covid started and I had a sore throat. I found a old tea bag in a jar, and drank it just so I could soothe my throat.
    I had drink tea before but I never enjoyed it until then. Now a year later I have 400 dollars in tea wears, collect clay pots, have monthly subscriptions to tea, and drink like 7 pints a day. (Down from around 15 when I first started a year ago)
    So it's safe to say I love tea now and thank forgetting me hyped about tea wear and different types of tea, raw, and whites.

    This reminds me a lot of the notes that you find in competition lots of specialty coffee-insanely expensive, but often have notes like macerated strawberry, watermelon, cherries, liqueur, chocolate. I don't know so much how exactly this tea was processed-but I also noticed what Celine mentioned, saying it was similar to a specialty chocolate with distinct fruity chocolatey notes. Could it be that most humans really like this flavour profile from these "fermented" beverages/products? I just thought it was interesting that these expensive/luxury variations in tea and coffee share these similar profiles.

    I thought handmade teaware and tea cakes were expensive but wow, that tea is 10x the price! I'm also not even surprised that the law of diminishing returns even applies to tea. I have felt that same disappointment before what with the taste not living up to the smell. This one shu I tried aptly labeled "Black PuErh" tasted like a light mediocre black tea but had the longevity of a shu and this one Keemun I tried was strangely light and lacking whether I brewed lower as is recommended for the Superior Keemun or at a more typical black tea temp. Those bloopers at the end are hilarious and Don is more of a goofball than I thought!

    How would one go about buying 10g just to try?

  • @aaaashleyyyyy
    @aaaashleyyyyy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would really like to try it… but the thing is, it really depends on how much I would need to purchase. I could probably justify getting enough for a single session, but even as little as 20 grams starts to get a bit harder to justify when I consider how much other tea I could buy with that money. Although doing it just once is very tempting still. I would be curious to know more specific pricing details.

      @@missourimongoose8858 Don has covered this like a million times before. The cost of getting new staff, renting a warehouse, figguring out the logistics etc are going to make it cost more for the consumer in the end, not less, you might pay less in shipping, but the extra overhead is just going to be inculded in the tea price, you're not gonna save any money. I suggest just finding a US tea supplier if the shipping cost is such a big problem for you

    It can't be 1,200 usd for 100 gram mate, the retail price from Liang Junde's own shop on Tmall is 850 rmb (120 USD) for 50 gram. They do have one that retails at 9,260 rmb (1,300 USD) for 150 gram, is because Mr. Liang has also contributed partially to the productions. If you spent 1,200 USD for 100 gram I hope they told you it's Mr. Liang's special production 😃
