I instantly knew this team wasn’t good when I saw the players and coach. Too many non-athletes, no muscle definition within the players, and the coach’s deliverance when giving a speech. I didn’t spot one dawg. These are the runts 😂
They just look very small even for a hs freshman team. 10 years ago when I played no one was this small lol. No offense to them, but this is what my hs soccer team looked like size wise. Size matters in football, and they just don’t have the size to likely be competitive.
The lack of people wanting to be teachers is hurting coaching big time in Texas. What I'm hearing from retired coaches serving as mentors is the guys signing up to be coaches are people coming over from other fields entirely just for another job. Most not only didn't play the sport their coaching, some didn't even COMPETE! Not that they weren't athletes at any level, they've never actually competed at anything unless you want to count trying to beat their own video game score. I was flabbergasted when I heard that. When I was in college, I took a basketball coaching class. I had no intention of going into coaching, but everyone in there played hoops at least at the HS varsity level. Some of us played juco, and there were 2 (college) varsity team players in there as well. One of the varsity players was later an All American and became a DI coach. I was in there as an official who wanted to better my knowledge. Ironically, the other varsity player later became an official. Today, its even money the HS JV girls coach at a smaller school never played the sport, even at the youth level.
Bridgeport is what 3A/4A school.. well i hate to say this.. but alot like grapevine high school yall got a long way to go.. beat krum high school first than talk about being a good football team.
