I was the public address announcer for a city that had two schools that played Denton Guyer when the school opened. Those first seasons at Guyer were challenging. I felt sorry for those first varsity squads. I am happy to see the program has become a perineal Texas football powerhouse.
It takes a special kind of person to be a leader of men. I can honestly say I take a lot of stuff with me in my day todays that I was fortunate enough to have learned from coaches because I didn’t have a father figure growing up.
Texas football is NEXT LEVEL You have to see it to understand it My son played for Celina- who has a weight room, training facilities and a field that are better than many colleges Guyer…everyone knows about them Great job on this series
Thank - you sir!! I grew up in west Texas, and remember Celina knocking our 325 Sweetwater Mustangs out deep in the playoffs in 2014. Great tradition in Celina. I’m blessed to say, I should be collaborating with TXHSFB company to promote specifically Texas High School Football facilities. Celina is one of the first three episodes i will be writing and producing. I’m excited to bring it to life next month! I hope I can bring honor to you, your son, and the Celina community.
I'm going to be heading to Texas from Africa soon. With that being said,I might find time to visit this particular high school just to have a look at their workout routine.I'm saying this because I'm someone that is aspiring to play american football in college in the nearby future, and I respect the work ethics of the teaml.Hell I might train with y'all if you allow me lol.
Cheating is unethical, and I would agree, recruiting tampers with the integrity of the game. The UIL should hold each and every program accountable for their misdoings.
@@justchad2742 No crying here. Huge talent pools. Especially in North Texas. They’re loaded with contenders in almost every district. I was merely disavowing cheating.
I went to Calallen in the 90s. The recruiting was pretty obvious. One running back had an apartment rented for him for 3 years. We'd get about 3 new guys per year. Their dad's would be assistant coaches until their kids graduated, or their moms would work in the administration office until their sons graduated. That went on until a couple of years ago.
@@FORGEDOFIRON94 I need to look into these programs! Potentially reach out to their administrators, and see if we can get some coverage! That would be awesome to come out to MS.
@@preludeproduction190 You made a great doc. Guyer is the real deal for sure. High school football in Texas has always been and always will be a big deal.
@@SleepyJoesDiaper much appreciated! Season finale posting tomorrow evening! Then we can gear up and get ready for the season to start in a couple months!

And for every rising texas program there are falling programs, also with kids, so how do you square that?
Texas HS Football on a different level. Great video, excited to see them go after it this coming up season.

I remember being at flower mound when denton guyer was just a lil new school up the road
I was born there I need more
Great production
what abt the under the table recruiting that destroys competition throughout the state of texas?
Cheating is unethical, and I would agree, recruiting tampers with the integrity of the game. The UIL should hold each and every program accountable for their misdoings.
Cry me a river. There’s too much talent & good coaching across the state for a few schools to snatch them all.

Guyer has too much tradition to do it under the table. Good players want to play there

Great documentary but the background music needs to go.
Thanks. I’ll keep the suggestion in my back pocket for the next one!
yep!! I'm here for it, all of it!
So that coach has been there since the high school opened!
What are these football players eating or taking? Hummm.

One day gonna take a trip to Texas just to see a football culter there
Bring it on, brother. We will get you on a sideline! 🔥
People really need to get into football of Mississippi. Per cap Mississippi produces more college and nfl players
What High School program do you recommend I look into?
@@preludeproduction190 West Jones I believe they are back to back champs, oak grove and South Panola. Most of them have a good history

S/O Ennis! Coach Sam Harold was the OC for my University when I played college ball! Very familiar with the legends out in Ennis, TX!!
