Can you do a video on 7 days to die old gen xbox version? I think it's a absolutely amazing game to play with friends but it seems like not as many people play it as a game like that should.
It's kind of like a realistic version of minecraft, a sandbox first person survival game.

The military games are fun, but it'd be nice to see videos on strategy and RPG games, too. Empire Earth 2 has had some players buy out the official servers in order to fulfill their own multiplayer city building desires, and Amulets and Armor had a few players create their own online community around the 1997 fantasy RPG game.

7 Days to Die on console died for a reason. The Fun Pimps hired some of the console team onto the PC version because they knew that they wouldn't be able to make a game without a competent development team. Then they started making changes to the only version of the game that was still updating, slowly kicking out the Minecraft, sandbox, and survival gamers in their Minecraft sandbox survival game.

Quick explanation for you, the little text on the left says "Du kannst dieses Fahrzeug nicht betreten, solange du keiner Gruppe beigetreten bist" which translates to "you cannot enter this vehicle as long as you haven't joined a squad". So, I assume you were still unassigned/didn't join a squad. Thus, you couldn't enter the truck.

i kinda liked the DayZ mod but it was such a MASSIVE pain in the bum to get it running with different game versions, mod versions, server versions....
Everytime i tried to visit some friends in Epoch, the base building version of DayZ, it took me an hour of fiddling to get in.
I then proceeded to crashing their helicopter, still have a video of it somewhere here.
Sad to see the OG version slowly go, it's a piece of gaming (modding) history second only to things like Counterstrike. But you can't expect a big crowd to put up with this (multiplayer/mod wise) badly outdated experience. And similar mods exist for Arma 3 and DayZ standalone, which are far from perfect but SOOO much more convnient to use.
As for recommendations, for a while Arma 3 (and2 before) life sim mods were a big deal. Altis Life for example. GTA 5 has jumped that train. Also Arma 3 had a Battle Royal mod before BR was cool. I think it helped start this hype. I wonder how that is doing.

Post Scriptum is so damn good, too. And, luckily, the Squad developers, OWI, bought it and now it's got some real traction and is blowing up again. It did start as a mod for Squad, so the dev team is having zero problems jumping into it and adding content.

I love this series, it reminds me of being a kid and browsing random free or really cheap games on steam because I didn't have money for the big and popular games of the time and I'd end up spending my time in weird, niche online games which usually had incredible communities! Also I'd love to throw a recommendation for the next episode: Xonotic, it's a community made game meant to be a spiritual successor to unreal tournament, it has a tragically tiny player base but it is so much fun if you give it the time to get into it! If you were able to get a full server I can't imagine the chaos haha

If anyone wants a really cool experience or an awesome way to get into a great community quickly I'd advice getting a fighting game, joining a discord server for it and checking in they have any "mentoring" system in the server, if you can get someone who's really good to sit you down and teach you the game it is one of my favorite gaming memories how me and this one guy spent weeks playing matches against each other as he taught me how to get good and after that I actually got into a fighting game, something I never thought I'd have the patience or skill to do

It seemed like back in the day people stuck with games but now it seems people just keep jumping to the newest thing, like they have ADHD or something. I also think the move from servers to matchmaking also helped this trend. Back in the day you'd find an awesome server with cool people and stick around and now everything is just matchmaking and it really does suck. Now games with a thousand players on it are considered "dead." Are people just spoiled ? Same people call an 8/10 game "mid."

Watching this series reminded me of one of the games i used to play back in the day which has no more than 100 player usually now. It's called "Red Orchestra 2" sadly enough when I got it the first one was already very dead but at least I could play in this one quite a bit when it was in it's peak. Really loved it and the atmosphere it always had (and still has) , maybe you or anyone reading this would like to try it for themselves too :)

I think that even tho the game has it's years already and that there are usually only like 2-3 servers fully filled with people (the rest is usually full of bots and ocasionally few players) it's still worth giving a try :)
I like to come back to it once in a while because it has a really unique (in a good way) atmosphere and the voice lines are pretty good too, not to mention that it has also some uncommon interesting mechanics (for example when you zoom in with a weapon with a scope only the view through the scope is zoomed on and the rest around it is not)
It also had and singleplayer campaign but from what I remember it was very buggy so the devs (sadly) took it away and now there's only multi.
The rising stom "part" of it is really fun too (especially when you get a full lobby of players and then make a banzai charge with a katana in your hand ^^) tho I haven't played in it as much as in the normal RO2 "part" of the game (mainly coz of this that I just like it more)@@rockinatmidnight

Holdfast is more known for it's private communities/line battles, Often there are only 100-200 some on public/unlocked/non whitelist server to encourage a more competitive atmosphere outside of the relatively casual standard play. (Which is 7-20 people in your spawn just chilling playing VRC/Voipspamming webms in Holdfast.) The lack of rated/competitive servers really lead to the unfortunate decline of Holdfast. The Free WW1 DLC aspect that was added after initial release was a neat unique dev difference but unfortunately it was too little too late.
