A blue screen of death or BSOD refers to an annoying situation where your Windows PC shows a blue background along with a sad face and probably a stop code. It can easily occur when you try to upgrade your system or booting it. When it happens, it makes everything stops. You just cannot work on your PC as normally you do. it may compel you to reboot your PC. After this, you may need to reload the software or program you are working with and re-open the files. How to Fix Blue Screen of Death in Windows 10
Method 1: Turn Off Automatic Restart
As the first blue screen of death fix, we will try to disable the Automatic Restart function, because the Windows’ automatic restart option is set by default at the time of Windows 10 blue screen of death.
Step 1: Right click on “This PC” and head to “Properties”.
Step 2: Choose “Advanced System Settings”.
Step 3: Hit on “Settings” in the “Startup and Recovery” option.
Step 4: Uncheck “Automatically restart” option and hit on “OK” to confirm.
Method 2: Uninstall Applications
Step 1: Start with heading to the “Settings” on your PC.
Step 2: Now, go to the “Apps” option and hit on “Apps & features.
Step 3: Begin to select the apps and programs and click on the “Uninstall” button.
Step 4: Confirm the actions by following the instructions coming on the screen.
Method 3: Download the Upgrade Files again
Step 1: Firstly, click on the Start button and open the Start menu.
Step 2: Look for the Disk Cleanup and hit on the result.
Step 3: You can now choose the drive “Windows (C:)” followed by clicking on “OK”.
Step 4: After that, hit on the “Clean up system files” option located at the bottom and hit on “OK”.
Step 5: Subsequently, choose the drive and hit on “OK” again.
Step 6: From the options in the dialog box, check the box next to “Temporary Windows installation files”. Click “OK” and it will delete the upgrade files. You can now download it again.
Method 4: Detach Unnecessary Hardware
Another thing that can help you fix blue screen of death is removing the hardware. As the problem might be hardware related, doing this will reduce the error risks whenever you decide to install the Windows 10. Hence, we suggest you disconnect any unnecessary things like external hard drives, USB or Bluetooth pieces.

In my view, Blue screen error is happening because of so many unpopular reasons also. Recently, my brand new PC (Windows 10) was showing blue screen & tried different known solutions but was not successful. After that I tried so many trial and error methods and found the real culprit which is accounting software Tally. Here is the story: My new PC (Windows 10) was running as a client PC on a network and another PC was running as the Tally server (Windows 7). Then I found that Blue screen happens nearly 5 - 6 times or more daily in my new PC only when Tally is in use. Finally, as a simple solution I changed my new PC (Windows 10) to Tally server and server PC (Windows 7) to client PC, which was successful.

@@habibahassouna5145 well yes ,it was a Virus. We had some flash drives with windows 10 installed. We opened then so that we could remove the virus. ‘‘Twas a very tiring process of three days, but managed to resolve it with the flash drives.

Weird situation:
A friend wanted me to look at their computer that is showing the BSOD. I have tried several methods to fix their HP laptop (albeit unsuccessfully). When I was in the Command Prompt, I tried typing "systeminfo" (just to get some info on the operating system) and the following message was displayed, "systeminfo is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
I have never come across a computer that did not respond to this command.
I tried to reset the PC by clicking on "Remove everything" and it indicated a failure. I also went down the list and tried the system restore (indicated no recovery point).
The only thing I have not attempted to do is to boot from the installation disk.
Any ideas?

My blue screen turns on for about 10 seconds and tells me to go to a website to stop a code. Then it’s says it will reboot for me and goes in and endless loop until I shut it down. I have unplugged it shut it down. But it won’t let me get passed the blue screen of death

My theory is that because I hadn't done a windows update in a few years, it led me to this problem. However, the main reason I refused to update to Windows 11 in the first place was because it... Hold down f8 or f11(it's different for some computers) and the power button at the same time and then it should fully reset the computer

Nice except my blue screen didn't even allow me to enter Windows. My computer kept looping into "checking for errors." I gave up in the end and just installed Ubuntu. Thank fully, all my important data is stored in secondary HDDs and Windows 10 was stored in a small SSD. Nothing was lost.

I get the blue screen only when I use my digital pen tablet on the computer. The BSOD says RESOURCE_NOT_OWNED then it automatically reboots and gets back to Windows desktop. I am able to use notebook as normal once I disconnect the pen tablet from the notebook. I've updated the device driver. I tried using another digital pen brand and the same BSOD occurs. What's happening? How you solve this?

Aah, I started experiencing this bluescreen errors when I installed numerous programs are very important to me.
I've used it for some weeks already, and then the bluescreen starts, how can I tell which of the programs is causing the problem... Or do I need to Uninstall every again?? Because I'm sure it's not a hardware problem.

nvm i figured how to do it. just install windows 10 on a USB enter your motherboard bios and make sure it boots up to the usb. let windows load and when it gets to the drive just choose one to install it on. i only had one drive so i had to delete everything on the drives. then install windows. but i ran into a boot problem and looked it up and i had to clean the drive using the command prompts

How are you able to access files and do all of these things if you got blue screen. For me there is couple options. Troubleshoot which doesn't work or restore which doesnt work i can't tick a box to restore drive my pc guy told me win10 doesn't support it. My pc keeps on crashing and having a lot of blue screens. I try to update stuff but it says downloading error and everytime I press retry it says the same thing. And when I try to restart the pc it says “update and restart”. And I pressed that so many times but nothing changed. Even if I let the pc chill and do nothing on it, it either has a blue screen and or crash/restart.

No ssd found in your device...
Their blog said its because of fake ssd or the ssd is a flash drive..
So i contacted the acer care and got it replaced after they did a test of my ssd.
@@shubhamkasyap9356 aa that's good but on disk checking i have no problems and still got the error.
