getting back into Fow and these videos are very useful :)
With the ever increasing toxicity of GW towards it's customers I'm more inclined to try new games. After 25 years of GW though it's daunting thinking about learning new rules. I know 9th edition 40k really well so I'm conflicted about getting into this or not.
Thanks for making this easy to follow series on how this game works.
Glad we are here to help. Personally I find FOW to be a better rules system then 40k but sometimes I just cant say no to those GW models.

I 3D print everything I want or buy from China.

I asked my FLGS today when they will have the starter box in stock again. Hopefully they will order it in for me.
Found FoW pretty hard to find in Australia. Doesn't seem to be sold at many places.

Thanks for the informative videos. You did not mention what happens if a vehicle fails a Cross check. Do they get stuck, and if so for how long? Do they just stop at the obstacle and end movement?
Sorry about that, they stop where the would have to take the cross check. So if the move up to a wood and try to enter they would take the cross check when they touch the wood and if failed would stay in place.

7:10 so that's a platoon Commander, are there company and Battalion commanders as well? Might company or Battalion Commanders have a longer command radius?
Hi, so there are formation commanders (Company or Battalion) that have their own command unit (Which may be just themselves) While they can't keep scattered out of command teams in command as long as they are within command distance of a Unit(platoon) they can usually provide re-rolls to things like last stand, counterattack and remount checks.
Do you cross check to go into a Forrest and out?
Just one cross check per woods, even if you drive in and out. But if you drove through one wood and into another you would need to take 2 Cross Checks.
Troops can issue follow me orders after a dash.

This series gives a goog impression of what to expect from the game before you start to spend your money on miniatures and other stuff. Because of the scale it seems not to take as much place as 40K or similar tabletop games. Easier to move your stuff around.
