The waterpark is called the Tikibad. Probably the most famous swimmingpool of the country with all of it's slides. It also has the fastest bowl slide of Europe (or maybe the whole world), going 70km/u (45 mph). Due to savety concerns they're not being constructed like this anymore.
The waterpark was opened in 1984 and was one of the first of its kind in Europe. I went there in that year as an 18-year old and decades later I visited again with my kids. Great fun!
Duinrell is a pretty fun park, it actually attracts the second most visitors yearly out of any park in the Netherlands, only behind Efteling. What’s pretty interesting is that they’re not allowed to cut down any trees unless it really is necessary, which is why Dragonfly’s layout is the way it is. The second curve before the lift hill is really only there because they had to avoid a tree that they removed last year
The frog mascot is absolutely adorable🐸 and this park has lots of fun and interesting looking rides 🇳🇱 There’s not many coasters at all named Dragon Fly so that’s also another unique component of the ride like you mentioned there not being many layouts at all like it. Fun video after a rather extremely busy day👍🏻
Great video! Looked like a fun park! I liked the rides there! Its different how small The Netherlands and also Belgium are and they have all the good amusement parks they have. I really enjoyed watching this! Im looking forward to the next video!
Duinrell is a nice day out. Unlike some of the other smaller parks here, it really rewards slowing down and taking the time to get to know the little corners and smaller rides they have to offer, including the water park, the alpine slide, the lookout tower in the dunes and lots of quirky things to explore. There's a storybook garden and some wacky animatronic shows. And an antique carrousel! The coaster collection is the weakest link, with only three compact, cloned models. This place has lots of potential for a proper terrain coaster, and the owner has been hinting at such a ride, but the park is subject to lots of height, noise and tree removal restrictions.
Dragonfly is the only exception. It is true that it has been cloned two times but at least it was a custom design for Duinrell, unlike the other two coasters.
The park also has a fun Rodelbahn up the hills of the coastal dunes. I can imagine you missed it due to lack of time but that could have been worth it too if you would have some more time.
You should’ve done the sky fly! This one is by far the easiest to spin consistently. Also, the waterpark is great. The space bowl here apparently is one of the most intense ones in the world.
Because the USA is 'Land of the free and home of the lawsuit's If someone gets injured in the Netherlands it's mostly their own responsibility, in the USA it's much easier to sue the park or the manufacturer.
Wow you are getting to the more obscure parks in Europe. And yes its actualy a pretty nice park for a small (attraction wise) park. The waterpark is actualy the main thing and pretty good. Its actually verry nice to stay there for a weekend or a short Holiday with the family in one of the cabins. Well i can guess what the next one is that is really a small one and just sold to a chain that does nice things with small parks like that.
So nice! I live at Rotterdam and at that park there is my favorite swimningpool the Tikibad🥰😍 You should explore the swimmingpool next time and you will not regret it.
i dont really think the coasters are all that here but its a fun park with a tobbogan run through the dunes that is well worth doing. the mad mill is insane. not really fun for me but definitely an experience. they also have those plane things that can turn upside down. waterpark is not usually included although combination tickets are possible (which id recommend, its the best pool in the country and probably beyond as well).
Seems like a fun park! Very nice vlog as well! I’m also really excited to see your Efteling vlog. (Which I believe will be in 3 episodes or smth). Btw will you also rank the parks you’ve visited this trip after you’ve completed the vlog?
I had this philosophy of what if you put all those mini thrill coasters in one park, like the one you went on here in Duinrell but also the Formule X from Drievliet is a really small but unique coaster. If they all got collected in one park, I think it would make one of the best parks in the Netherlands. Btw you should definitely hangout till next month for Halloween in Walibi and Toverland (which also got really good coasters), I prefer those two parks more than Efteling (overrated af)
I don't know why but the sky fly here is magic. EVERY other sky fly i've been on don't flip as much as this one. I got 46 spins in one go on this one, while on others like the one at Hansa park i wouldn't get any.it's a shame that you didn't have the time to do it.
this park is quite cool, i wouldn't say it's the most underrated but it's very nice for a small theme park. the water park is also really good. unfortunately i never got to do the top spin or frisbee because they were taken apart
@@arturobianco848 nah they're still there, but around two years ago they were taken apart for maintinence, they're now back as you can see in the background of this video
tbh i hate this park i had such a bad experience. the staff was rude it wass way to expencive all the food outlets where cloesd it was dirty staff did not help when my friend got sick and the school trips completely ruinned the day
Thank you for watching! 🎢

Your pronunciation of the coaster was actually by far the best I've heard from a non-native speaker so compliments to you on your Dutch skills 😅
It's genuinely a little bit scary how close you got to fully pronouncing 'kikkerachtbaan' correctly 😂.

Their waterpark is mental, it's a shame you passed on it. Their slides are intense!
I remember holidaying here about 20 years ago… the waterpark and the themepark are amazing… my family still talk about the weird talking frog bins!
I got 77 on the sky fly💀. This one is so easy to spin with the wind. Feels like your brain leaves your head
Holy sh*t 🤣

That Nautic Jet looked so fun, and it was so funny watching the POV 😆
Looks like you've also passed on their alpine coaster, it's a fun ride! I personally count them as a credit as it's a bobsled alpine.
