Are you aware the Olight has a 1 lumen mode? When the light is off, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. It'll turn on the TRUE moonlight mode. 1 lumen. After that u can press and hold to rotate through low, medium, high, double tap turbo, and triple tap strobe.

Good vid. ArkFELD. Not ArkFIELD. Agree with Arkfeld's lack of a tail switch making it less tactical, but this is titled an EDC light vid. And it does offer magnetic attachment. You missed the true moonlight of 1 lumen on the Arkfeld. 15 lumens is away too bright for a nightstand light to preserve night vision. 1 lumen or sub-1 lumen for this. Also, I recommend any comparisons include a clear discussion of the lumen outputs and associated run times. This is especially true for flashlights with non replaceable batteries. It was a little hard to hear you stating which lights you were showing in many places, even with laptop at full volume, and there was a lot of flashing off/on, and overlapping of beams. Great selection of lights for this. My choice if only one would be the Nitecore despite it's size, but not for nightstand since lacking a moonlight mode.

Nice lights. I just prefer one that I can change the battery in.

@@overlandedc I think it's just bullshit from flashlight manufacturers to fool consumers so that you keep spending money on them to replace the batteries or buy a new model every few years.
Because logically they should be able to make a relatively slim flashlight using AA, AAA or even AAAA batteries.

@@overlandedcThat means you don't know the existence of the "RovyVon Angel Eyes E30" because apart from having a built-in 900mAh battery, the flashlight is also compatible with 2 × AAA (1.2V and 1.5V), 3.7V 10440 li-ion batteries, or 1x 10880 3.7V li-ion batteries.
The E30 was introduced in late December 2023 but RovyVon has been making flat keychain flashlights compatible with AAA batteries since 2021.

@@overlandedc you probobly can get something in there from something but its engineering and also likely fabrication work to fix it. But for the price .... often worth it, even if you have dead space, you can fix it up to 70% maybe, if the battery is really non ideal. The important part is to make sure you can manage thermal and vibrations because of your mod (i.e. use gap fill thermal pads to restrain and also cool your replacement cell). My stomach starts to twist if I have to throw away something >100$ because some shitty foil in a battery deteriorated!!!!!!

bah non replaceable batteries I don't want to enroll in a life long flashlight replacement program when its already too bright. I can't help feeling like a poor fool spending money on non replaceable battery objects. Technology is supposed to make our lives easier but you end up having to keep spending because of stupid design decisions. How about they make a industry consortium to make a standard square cell form factor. Fenix E02V2.0 is a guilty pleasure. But I really try to stay away.

I've had 2 arkfelds and now have the edc27 uhi. I must say for me that the edc27 uhi just suites my needs better. Glad I waited though for the uhi version since it has more candela. Good vid

Haven’t used the UHI but had the regular EDC27. Preferred my SureFire Stiletto Pro by a mile and gave the EDC27 away as a gift. The 27 had poor quality buttons and the emitter had terrible heat dispersion. I do wonder if the UHI did anything about either of these issues.
