I also used this spear with the upgraded Serpentscale Set, also with spell binder as well. The armor set gives u attack boost and healing when in water. The last boss is in water and it's absolutely cheese with it. On my 3rd run right now.
I personally use yakshasa with fuban for 25% crit & golden idol for most of the game. Big boy bosses are wukong’s armour + jinjubang. Im usually on 50% crit rate with 200ish damage and the 30% damage amplification from memory. I’m on my 5th run now and usually rotate between those two. Tri point is nice to use, I really wanted it to win but spears don’t proc on charged heavy + if you don’t mix up your stances you’re missing out hugely.
I use the serpent scale robe but use the rest of the wukong armour. Mainly because the gauntlets give plus 4 to crit and my build is a crit focused spell binder build. With two beast Buddha curios and 2 cat’s eye beads. I can get 63 crit chance with binder and death stinger and double combed rooster blood. For my spirit I use verdant glow. It pairs nicely with the robe for even more healing.
@@mongodellango4732 have you tried orche gaunlets they give you 4crit per a focus point used and you don’t need to consume them all at once. You can consume them back to back with veried combos
Instead of pluck of many use life saving strand works with spell binder also if you want to increase crit chance use back scratcher curios when you unlock more curio slots
This spear is okay, nowhere near as strong as fuban or jinjubang but tri point is so, so fun to play with. It incentivises you not to charge heavies or mix up chances which is a major issue if you’re really putting hours in this game as after the 5th-ish NG+, things hit like a truck. You need to smash stance swap
@@silverfox9107 I’m sorry but how is the spear weaker than jungubang? Same stats, but instead of not losing 4th focus point you get a move that costs 1 focus point ant deals 3 to 4k damage. There are so many bosses I’ve beaten in less than 30 seconds with this weapon I feel like it would be nerfed
bro my top 3 weapons are: 1. dark iron 2. fuban 3. tri jingubang is not even my top 3. it really depends on your play style. I dont really play charge heavy attks. I just build focus and spend focus on heavy. tri spear is one of the best for small combos build. im in ng++

It doesn’t need one, not even a competition.
@@silverfox9107 well, I don’t think there’s some sacred knowledge I’ve missed in my understanding of the game mechanics. Sure, having permanent 4th focus point is nice, if you sweat it enough and apply all the buffs you have you’d one-two shot most of the bosses, but if we go that route then you have dark iron with double the damage jingubang has, and 4th focus point is not that hard to get without the permanent focus buff. Though for a regular playthrough, getting 2-3k damage for 1 focus point vs getting 4-5k damage for 4 focus points sounds stronger to me. Don’t want to disregard your love for the weapon and experience with the game though, after all, we all have our own playstyles
Oxford quick question! In your testing after entering ng+ I'm wondering if you tested the Unified Minds perk from the Freed mind relic and whether it had synergy with the tri point spears sword rain attack? I'm just imagining an army of clones sending a sword storm at once
Hey what's up! I'm in NG+ now as well but I'm still using Spell Binder. I also moved over or the Lightning Staff we get in NG+ Didn't test the Syngergy you mentioned. I'll have to circle back to that if I remember to. That staff hits hard but one thing I don't like is the constant baby sitting we have to do to stay in "Shock State" Debating on creating a video on it or not.
The Gold Button is not a bug. You keep the improved ATK because you are still at full health. The moment you get hit, you loose that buff and if you don’t have the Gold Button on then you won’t get that ATK back when you heal. If you are good at keeping full health and dodging I soul keep that on.
I actually think, it's just a bug with updating the UI. Equip a spirit that gives you a state buff. You'll notice it won't change. But if you exit the menu and re-enter it, the number is updated/reflected accordingly.
Why would it not work though? Assuming all 3 increases your maximum mana individually, it should raise the damage even higher because you have more max mana than with 1. Maybe spellbinder itself caps out the damage increase at a certain point? Or gives diminishing returns at least?
I haven't seen anyone mention this anywhere, but the last point in the spellbinder tree also convert stamina to crit the same way it works with mana to attack. I cba going full ham with this tho, you can make a talent build and max mana/stam with gear gurd items etc and respec back alle the talents etc. It is very annoying when you have to re do everything every time spellbinder is deactivated. Only worth If you really struggle with a boss, it will make a huge difference. Crit and crit damage has the potential of giving you 0 value per attack making it NR1 prio to stack wherever you can find it.

When you fight a boss use your spirit first the gore eye Daoist it also massively increases attack in a pretty large radius when fully upgraded
I got so pissed at yellow loong, i figured out his initiatioj range and would set up daoist and yellow vessel beforw turning on spellbinder haha

Also use transformation right at the beginning of a boss fight as that uses no mana then when it’s finished pop spell binder

Btw you don’t need 3 seals in curios. Someone else tested it and you get the same attack rating with 1 and 3 so you can use other curios
