i’m not a Jackets fan. but i am a hockey fan and a human. and i have to commend Columbus for not only their tribute, but also everything in this video…how they waited 13 seconds to play, how they symbolically passed to him, etc. i am gutted just watching this. can’t even imagine how the Gaudreau family, friends, and teammates are holding all this grief. but i hope these tributes help to show that they don’t have to shoulder this alone. the whole hockey world stands behind them, regardless of what teams we usually root for.

Love how Sam Bennett just places the puck where Gaudreau would be if he was still here. Love Bennett he's one of my favs. I'm not even a Panthers fan. I just love he plays.

Now THIS IS WHAT Hockey is about! Not all the BS fights and crap!

The game is so big and so small at the same time. Without it, we don't have a connection to the Gaudreau family, we don't share their loss and have an emotional connection. But at the same time, the league, the franchises, and the officials all put the man and his family first because thats what really matters.

Didn’t know about what happened until now. That’s horrible 😢. Never drive drunk.

As someone who genuinely didn’t care for gaudreau style of play…. I can honestly say this had me tearing up and this is just absolutely tragic. Condolences to his family. And Mathew too obviously.

I used to play against Johnny growing up in juniors, he was always a good player. Sad to see him go

Im still struggling with Columbus Arena not even considering having a no alcohol tribute night. Johnny & brother killled by a drunk but beer still flowing for blue jacket fans drive home
