My favorite Brian Wilson songs are the non-hits. This is a great example. Just a masterpiece.
Absolutely, the non hits are the gems
Weren’t they ALL hits?? Seemed that way.
Bruce First Sing Please Let Me Wonder so Beautiful Love Songs Singing About Amanda Johnston.
My Answer Is Yes
I would pay anything to see them live
Jeff Foskett is holding this all together.
Jeff, sadly, can no longer sing. But happily, he is still with us.
Jeff Foskett is not doing anything right now thanks to recent surgery .
Bruce, there is an old folk's home in Torrance holding a room for you. Please hurry.
@@Druss726 No need for name-calling. We differ in opinion on a trivial issue. Big deal.
This is one of MY Top 5 songs by The Boys, all-time.-----------Bruce does a decent job, far better than BW did .-------------It's just so heartbreaking to know how Brian Wilson consciously & willingly destroyed his gorgeous voice. ------------WolfSky9, 74 y/o
brother i ask that you watch the movie Love & Mercy before blaming Brian Wilson for anything ever again.
Why does it never sound as good anymore :(
With all due respect to Bruce, Brian is better
Even Bruce admitted this to me when I asked him about the song. He told me he loves doing it as a tribute to Brian
@@Druss726 - Right on! That's cool of him.
:-)
it's not the beach boys
70+ year old men singing 50+ year old songs....as well as they can.
You’ll be 70 years old, sooner than U think ! 😉
@@SeamusMcGillicuddy0 I'm 71!
@@SeamusMcGillicuddy0 Mike will be 82 in three weeks.
@@lynntempleton9640 My crystal ball is at the repair shop. I wasn’t aware of your advanced age. I’m 70, 🫢 !
Mike is sensational 😏
Said no one ever
You’re delusional !
This was said with the upmost sarcasm
@@davidhoffmann4114 I would have said, Mike is sensational in his own bald head. Sorry, I missed your sarcasm 😉
What kind of fool pays money to see Mike Love?
You need to remove your unfounded and wasted emotions from your core.
It's about the music, and like it or not, Mike Love is an integral part of the music.
Get rid of the hate and your life will change for the better.
Al, David, and Brian are closer to The Beach Boys than this act.
Honestly Bruce was only needed in 1965 when they needed a live replacement for Brian. Other than that I don't even know why he's considered a beach boy.
He's been great ever since. It's great he's here today yet. Talented and deserving imo
Because he IS A BEACH BOY! Guess you have never listened to Sunflower or the Surfs Up album.
William Thompson Disney Girls and that's at. Other than that, I don't see any big contribution
Cristian Reyes his songs on Sunflower are gems! I wish he’d do those live instead on covering Brian vocals. Hopefully they get together for a 60th like he has suggested
Those of u who think Bruce wasn’t needed don’t know anything about this band
Stevie Wonders about this all of the time? As he wanders across time and space. Careful not to tread upon someone elses face.
What a freakin' joke. myKe and br00th can hardly sing! They're absolutely insulting the the name "The Beach Boys. These two clowns should retire, get out of the way and let Brian and his band handle any live shows once and for all.
oldsurferdude1 I'm not in the habit of defending Mike Love, Bruce or their touring Vegas lounge act, but if you're to critique their vocal delivery then you'd have to be even handed and admit Brian's vocal is shot - in fact probably more so than these two bufoons, as Brian struggles to stay in key quite a lot of the time. BW's magnificent band cover his mistakes well & the live mix is sympathetic to a solitary vocal that's often out of kilter. I guess those who go to see him live in concert are understandably accepting of it though & are just happy being there to witness a performance by one of the greatest men in the history of popular music. Lot of love out there for big Bri.....and rightly so.
+rhymeocerous I think you're right there. I made my share of bad comments on Mike Love in the past, but hey, he and we are getting older and milder. And it is just honest to say that Brian's voice has gone, and he couldn't perfome without his band and above all Jeffrey Foskett. And I agree: beeing there with the concert is more important than hearing the right tones and voices, people are paying tribute that way to some of the greatest men in pop-history, and first and formost Brain Wilson.
All you do is go video to video and talk shit about Mike and Bruce because you read the BS online and buy it all like a frickin baby bird eating from his momma. Bruce still sounds good even though he sings softer as does Mike.
Joop, Jeffrey is in the touring Beach Boys now. They put on a better show than Brian. Saw both last year, and I walked away feeling sad and like I had wasted my money on Brian. Mike, Bruce, David and Jeffrey Foskett are the true (live) Beach Boys.
are you out of your mind?
