No need to cry about Nalanda or Takahashi, in India still we have many hidden manuscripts roting away still not deciphered or preserved 40,000 of such manuscripts at Bhubaneswar's State Museum,palm-leaf manuscripts stacked in the museum. Most of them are written in the Oriya script, though the language is Sanskrit text was copied from one leaf to another. The oldest manuscript here belongs to the 14th century but the text can be dated to the 2nd century.
Many more in Rishikesh's(devpaayag) Varanavasi's haridwar's temples & National archive of India.
We need cutting edge tech like high-resolution X-ray detector that creates 3d map separating inc from material its used on, called HEXITEC Smithsonian museums are using. & can digitally archive our past.
K K Muhammad Sir is a living legend. Govt should listen to his advise so that our younger generation will come to know about our rich heritage and history.

Yes, Nalanda was a renowned Buddhist center of learning in ancient India. It housed a large and prestigious Buddhist monastery and educational institution. The Nalanda University was a major hub for the study of Buddhist philosophy, along with various other subjects such as astronomy, medicine, and logic.

Most places in other parts if India and the rest of the world have separate ticket for watching documentary. Those documentaries are very beautifully made. Hope the same happens in various historical sites in bihar as well

The concept of the voice emanating from the bricks at Nalanda saying that they seen Buddha when he came there, same when huangssng came, is mesmerizing and should be implemented at our historic sites. It’s really true…..the bricks of the fallen building have seen it all. It all happens in front of them.

I'm from Surat. Here we have Medieval fort which built around 13th to 14th century but while visiting the fort we have made an animated video depicting the history❤ this is a mesmerizing experience..
This is power of education and here I mean education not literacy.

To unhe main batana chahta hu ki pahle ek chhota sa Vihar ka nirman budhha era me hi hua tha, bs wo ek monk ke lie teaching institute tha use hi Gupta period me expand kiya gaya bahut bade level pe kumar Gupta ke dwara aur ye institute vihar se Mahavihar bana....
Prempyalaji ,Gautama the Buddha walked throughout magadh sanchi Kashi etc .in his memory nalanda univ was later setup .it was Buddhist University .medicine was highest priority given in study .yoga and Vedas were not given priority .yoga and Vedas were studied in Himalayas by Hindus .Buddhist always supported the invaders against the Hindus .they lost Afghanistan Pakistan Kashmir Bengal etc etc to muslims .wirathu in Burma has stood up against muslims after 1400 yrs of supporting muslims and losing territory .srilanka has been alerted .....❤❤😊😊😊🎉🎉

Nalanda destruction began from the Brahman and completed by Muslim kings. That's it. No Vedas present during buddha era and No Vedas placed inside Nalanda university. It was purely a Buddhist university and monastery.

What a wonderful archaeologist. His attitude of non violence and insistence on quality inputs as well as idea of Anni interpretation centre is wonderful. There's no room for hatred in the Buddha Dharma. Nor Hinduism.

nalanda university is just 10 km far from my house i cry when ever i visit the university not because it was destroyed but because our government is not excavating the near place of the university the university was spread across 10 km but only 1 km of university which we see in photo is this rest 9 km in still encroached govt should excavate this area this can give us some more idea about the university we could even find the library which took months to burn still libarary is unknown ...govt must look into this

Dr. Muhammad as a great archeologist of the ASI is a jewel in his field and a great treasure of Indian archeological knowledge! He should be recognized with a great public citation to honour his contributions.

Nalanda is Buddhist University. All the around from other countries came to study Buddhist. There not any hindu at the time. Why people r not talking about it? Why people are not promoting the Buddhist as today so called hindu is promoting. There many Buddhist universities at that time but why not a single University of hindu?

Please throw some light over the ruins of Odantapuri Mahavihara (University) which is just 11 KMs away from the ruins of Nalanda Mahavihara. It is situated in Biharsharif town, the headquarters of Nalanda district which has been neglected by the government. It is still under the land, under the human settlement over it.
Fun fact - pre-partition india had 5 mahavihars,(vihar the word from which got it's name).
3 in present day bihar and 2 in present bangladesh
Interestingly all 3 mahavihars (nalanda, odantpuri, vikramshila) in india was destroyed by the same Turkish general.
