I watched a couple of Drydex "reviews" before this one. Most amounted to little more than "it's spackle, fill holes with it." But your video was a LOT more useful. Thanks for taking the time make it!!
Thank you explaining how to do the sanding! I appreciate your tutorial!
Thanks for teaching! Before I properly learned how to take off sticky hooks I tore one off and it took some drywall paper with it. Now I'm about to use some Dap Fast Dry and repair it! Wish me luck!
Bonus points for the fact he shares what you ACTUALLY need, and what you can use on the cheap.
This has to be one of the greatest non-informational videos I have ever stumbled on. Yippee ki-yay
Excellent video. Very helpful.
Thanks for the in-depth explanation.
You're Back yay!!!!! 👏😄
Thanks for the video.
We appreciate the video, thank you so much 🌻
Would Love to see more of this…
Appreciate the time taken to give a step by step very well explained tutorial.
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for the helpful tutorial!
Glad it was helpful!
Short and simple, thanks man!
You bet!
I thought you did it well just what I wanted thanks
Thank you !
Thanks, this is really helpful
Youre a life saver
I don't sand mine I used a damp sponge to get the excess off. That way you don't sand off the orange peel. And leave a flat spot.
Great tip! Thx for sharing!
Thanks for the tip, that's exactly what I was looking for how to do.
Do you use the sponge once it’s white or while it’s still pink
@@MikeHawkeInYoupink before it dry
Wish I had read this comment before I just did this on texture wall! I tried to scrape the access off around it, but a sponge would’ve been much better.
Great video man thanks alot ✊😎🔥
very professional 😂thank you
Thankx
Thanks Sir
It says to mix well on the box, did you do this or can you explain what that means?
How do you avoid those bubbles that appear when you push the Drydex into the holes?
I think you need to add a bit more for a second coat. I still see the dents there.
can i use it for big holes?
Great video!
Question: after you completed the sanding and smoothing out the filler holes in the wall. Do you then paint the area now filled and sanded out?
Thank you. Moving so I’d like to make sure I do this correctly.
Ty for your time ☺️
Yes! Once you re happy with your sanding and the surface is flat.. you can start painting over

Thank you!

@@UIV7096 but would need to paint whole wall or only that area, would it look like a patch after Paint ?how to get the exact same shade of paint ?
@@yashwantmineKexpert
Yes got it all done a few
weeks ago Ty so very much
The hole is still there
Wait, so how do you get it to blend with the rest of the texture on the wall?
He doesn't. If he paints right now you'll see an obvious sanded spot. He needed to apply less Drydex and sand more.
4:08 You didnt sand/smooth the transition enough. That hard edge at the bottom is going to show through paint.
What about corners external
Can we use this for wood wall?
DAP DRYDex Spackling may be used to fill holes and cracks in surfaces such as drywall, plaster, wood, brick and stone. Its ready-to-use formula spreads easily for fast, professional repairs that will not crack, crumble or flake. DRYDex dries hard, sands easily and can be painted.
This is product information, I hope it helps
Thank you very much as a woman the instructions were very easy.. thank you again
What number of sandpaper are you using? Thanks
0:30
It looks to me like you will need to add to the hole again even after sanding it level to the wall so it would not show after you paint it.
Can you use a hair dryer to dry the putty faster?
it doesn’t take that long to dry
Lol
The holes didn’t really seem like they were full and flat.
can you put a screw in it once it is all dry?
You can definitely try but I don't think it would hold very well.
After it's dried and turns white, can I use the same hole to put a wall plug? thank you!
You can if you get a bigger plug than the hole, but if it's the same size the spackling isn't really strong enough to hold any weight. You'd need to get something that clamps from the back, or like I said, a bigger plug (or anchor).
I didn't believe it. I clearly see the hole and don't believe it will paint well. Thanks for trying
No dude. SHOW THE AFTER cuz those holes dont appear flush to the wall
100% those ridges looked bloody terrible!!
Those are easy to fix
Shave it off- sand it down if you have to, then just fill it
You should have painted the wall, i would like to see the result.
Don't use any grit lower than 220 on your walls, especially if they are smooth!
No offense man but that'll look like shit when you paint it. You won't see holes, you'll see an untextured square.
How long does it take to dry ?
3-4 hours
Because you're in hiatus 😃
Its garbage. Did some repairs. when it get humid turns pink again . FAIL
You may use a fan to dry the patch if you live in a very humid environment.
1:47 looks delicious
😐😐😐
That's absolutely awful
jeeze...whata mess.
How to not patch holes
Get a wet tower and get that over due shit off
Don’t ever give anyone advice! Landlord Special!
How would you suggest fixing this? Hmm?
Thank You for your effort, but this product is miserable to work with. I know from experience.
Dap Drydex doesn’t fill properly. It has such a strange texture. It bubbles out, doesn’t stick, doesn’t spread smoothly without pulling out of the space you’re filling. It DOES sink. It requires several applications. It should not be as difficult or as much work to spackle holes. I will never buy this product again.
"Hate that accent" sounds fake as "****"! Is it?
