That is a good question, guess it would be possible. But the JL came with the 8 speed..
@@jeepspeedshop I mean a manual 6 speed JL, it’d be awesome if it could be done
You need to make this kit for a 2.8l crd jk jeep 🤷♂️👌
I would not know where to start, we have never worked on a Diesel
@@jeepspeedshop I know at least one has been converted from 545rfe to 8hp so it can be done I’m in Australia and would be happy to donate my vehicle and work with you and the Australian Jeep speed shop ?
What does it cost to do this swap? mine is a 2017 with a 6 speed manual.

@@jeepspeedshop Damn why is the wiring so expensive, do you have to buy everything brand new from mopar?
@@mails5054 Yes we buy everything from Mopar, I wish we could buy the wiring cheaper, but going cheap on wiring is never a good idea.
@@jeepspeedshop could you in theory use the wiring from a donor car? Or does it need to be specific to make it work with the jeep. You're awesome by the way, you do really unique stuff! I hope all the success to you
Can it work in the 3.8?
Sorry we can not do a 8 speed in a 2007-2011 Jeep JK with a 3.8L, because of the crank sensor and bel-housing
Is posible to swap a 3.8 jk 4 speed to a 5 speed automatic ?
The only transmissions you can use is the 42RLE and the GS370 manual
What exact trans is needed for your swap? 8hp45 or 8hp50? I’m putting this in a 2016 that currently has a manual
We have used the 8HP45 4x4 and you will need a engine computer, now it will start but no PRNDL
