Andriy, great video as always! I’ve had the BimmerCode and OBD adapter for six months and have coded my car. The only thing I’d point out is that you can’t do the roofWindows/mirror mods if like my car you don’t have the factory Comfort Access option. That’s why I needed the SmarTop module.
I’m a little late to the party but I’ve modified my 2011 with comfort access via this app. The way I get the mirrors to fold is I either lock the car with the key by pressing the BMW logo and holding it until the mirrors fold in. Alternatively, I touch the riffled area on the outside door handle to lock the car and keep my finger there until the mirrors fold in.
Did not know about easy access. I have had my window roll down like that a few times. Always thought that its some kind of error or battery issue. Did not know that its a feature. :D i was surely accidentaly triggering that feature.... I used INPA and NCSExpert for coding features. that was years ago. I enabled digital speedometer (really useful) , videoinmotion(and put some music videos on a dvd) and enabled roof operation while moving for times when im operating the roof at the traffic lights and it suddenly turns green. With it im not sitting there waiting for the roof to open/close and can slowly creep away or out of way for whoever is behind me. Did consider enabling autofolding sidemirrors, but left it out as i do have winter season in my aera that can freese them and i have a button inside to fold them anyway. Also my car already came with comfort access so did not have to mess with that.
Hi, Can you help me how to code digital speedometer on my z4 e89 without bimmercode. I tried and entered in hidden menu, appeared on the screen and as soon as I stared the car disappeared

You can remove the adapter as soon as you’re done coding. It doesn’t stay with the car. What you are essentially doing here is changing the options on the software that’s already in your car’s computers.
@@SimpleCarGuy Thanks. Can it delete those annoying Mercedes (and other luxury brand) reminders about oil changes, days past a certain maintenance that should've been done, etc.? My regular mechanic can't delete them.
I have a quick question, I have an E89 automatic transmission 2011 and the indicator light that's next to the gear shift that's in park (P) always stays on, every day and night for the past year I have had this car the lake never goes off, is this normal?
I emailed BimmerCode to clarify if one could code the e89 top to open with the key fob if the car did not come with the Comfort Access option. They said it could not be done.
It's amazing how many you can do on BMWs with that cheap adapter. I had an Audi TT and I had to use Carly wich costs 120€ a year and the only thing I can change is the digital Speed in the Gauge cluster
Hey Guy, thank you for these great suggestions, these are the only things that I don't appreciate about my 2010 e89, so I will soon be making changes. I like your vids, very practical, real-guy approach for people like me who are not mechanics. My fav is the AC auto on, that drives me crazy. Also the speed correction, I am determined to never get a ticket in this car so I keep a close watch on it. Keep up the good work, and your pretty easy on the eyes.

Can you post how to auto fold the mirror when closing the car?

You can make them instantly auto fold yes.
In my gauge cluster I see two unknown icons: up and down arrows, and "V=". What are they for and how do access them in BimmerCode?

Thanks! Those are from BMW m3/m4. BMW style 437m, I believe.

When you have to remove it for emissions testing, do you then have to program it all over again?

Bimmercode says it's not compatible with convertibles. How'd you get it to work for retracting your roof?

Great video! Just wondering with this obd scanner can i diagnose my car for roof issues? Mine is currently stopping mid way through closing.

Way to improve your car, strip down discs and brakes and paint them. Otherwise your car looks scruffy.
