I watched the video after you’d not long bought your Z4, and now this, two years on. Your enthusiasm is brilliant and, having one of these cars myself, I get every bit of it! They’re just brilliant cars - just make you smile! I also have a Z3... whole different car, but equally brilliant despite the older technology!
You obviously love this car... and I don't blame you. I had a previous generation and found that I couldn't keep it. At 6'5" it played havoc with my back.
I think it's a beautiful car and would happily have this generation ... if only I would fit !
Hi Nez, recently bought a 2012 28i after a lot of searching. Watched a lot of videos and reviews but in particular enjoyed your Z4 passion and videos as well as 'It'sJoel' videos. Your interest and passion in your car kept me motivated whilst looking for my car. Bought as a 'Sunday' drive I manage to find time to drive it every day. Love it. Keep up the good work and enjoy, in particular, your Z4 content.

Yeah, I have to agree. I also have an E89, and I was so scared that they'd announce the new one it would be so cool and I'd no longer like my "old" E89, but... that didn't happen. Much prefer the E89 design.
yup, the 2019 model is stupidly aggressive. Hey BMW, it's okay to make cars look _beautiful_ instead of "uhhh ahh oomph gonna kill someone" design.

@@colinmack2566 It's interesting how different the E85, E89 and G29 are, all three appeal to totally different drivers. E85 is the true small roadster experience, the E89 is a sporty luxury cruiser and the G29 goes full showoff overkill mode.

E89 absolutely my favorite Z4 hands down.
Love my E89.
Noticed the same thing about the seat belt. Black shoe polish works well to recolor. A leather protector reduces the damage.
The E89 looks much better than the new Z4 in my opinion. I like that BMW let's them look different than the others in the lineup.

Nice video !!! Great car !! I like your enthusiasm and I can understand why.You sound like a great guy. I, myself, have a 35is ,white with black leather and aluminium trim same as yours.19 inch wheels , sport suspension, extended light package etc...all the bells and whistles (comes standard on the 35is models) You should consider getting one. You'll love it. When I'm out driving it's always a toss up as to listening to the great sound system inside the cabin or listening to the engine roar on the outside. Happy motoring
I have a 2014 Z4 in the States which I bought new in 2013. It has been the best car I think I have ever owned (I have owned many). 5 years on now and it still performs like a trooper. My convertible top DOES raise and lower with the remote, so you might want to check with your local service shop. In general I couldn't agree with you more about this car. Love it.

My e46 has the auto dimming mirrors also. It's a seriously underrated feature of BMWs. I don't know how common it is now on other cars but it was a godsend to me when I bought my e46.
I have a 2011 BMW Z4 s drive 30i and I love it, it's a fantastic sports car!

Great car...have mine for 6 years now...did an exhaust upgrade and it sounds awesome!!!
I've had my '09 E89 sDrive35i for about a bit over year now and still love it. The first thing I did was add a Stage 1 Aggressive tune from COBB to bump up the power, and then disconnected the vacuum powered baffle on the passenger muffler. The tune also adds some additional overrun crackles and burbles, which sounds amazing, but I'd still like to change out the exhaust at some point.

Dude, I got my Z4 after watching one of your Videos one year ago. Exactly the same model/engine/colors. Now that I'm moving from GER to the UK I'm going to lease my beauty to a friend. Though I'm about to head to the Nürburgring tomorrow for one last trip, I already feel guilty leaving my Z4 with someone else. Its such a great car and its looks - amazing. The car can be coded to close the Convertible Top & Windows Up with the key, outside the car... It is done like you said by holding the Lock Button down on the Key Fob.
Same goes for the closing of the windows & sun roof with keyfob on an E90 or E92.
HOWEVER, an option needs to be changed by many call coding or basically just changing options that arent able to be changed in the car without normal methods. A coder will use with a K/Dcan(OBD2) to USB cable and a PC laptop. It takes 10 minutes to do and is easy and very straightforward. You can also change some other settings like some cool options in the I drive, digital speedo, ASD off, etc...

Amien Phillips e89 35i is a great car, great engine! I still have the car, it’s brilliant. The seats do recline, but to be honest not sure if you can fit 2 people on one seat. They are quite slim and snug seats.

I like the E89, but for me the E86 shape did it for me. Ever since they came out I've been wanting one. I had an M Coupe for 12 years and sold it to get a Red 2007 3.0ltr si. I bought it in 2017 and still love it. I use it everyday and it still looks mint. I have made a few changes to it like black alloys and black roof to give it a meaner look. Like you said in the video after years owning it you still look around to view the car as you walk away 👍.

In March I purchased a 2014 Z4 35is Black w/ luggage interior. 1 owner w/23k and always garaged. 🎉Happy Birthday to me!🎉 This car is fun, fast and sexy. I drive w/the top down every chance I get. Even in the winter! I also have a '97 Z3 Roadster, soft top. Its night and day driving. I'm love my upgrade to Z4. Cheers!
I am picking up my 3rd Z4 end of April - I swapped my 2014 for a 2018 220i Coupe - had car 9 mths and now going back to a 2016 2.0 Z4 Auto as I missed it so much. I'm not letting this one go.
I agree with you that this is a Unique car in de bmw line. Not only do I recommend this car. Driving a roadster in general is something you must experience.
Oh snap man the M3 convertible is great and different great and different I had one, Looking to get a Z4 I want the 2011 cause it's just a beautiful design. But am seriously happy with my 335i wirh x drive. You've got a beautiful car.

I agree those model years are the best looking Z4's made....When I was looking for a sports care I looked hot & heavy at the Z4 and 350Z but to me the best looking sports car period is a Porsche so I ended up buying a 99 Porsche boxster and absolutely love the looks and it is a dream to drive.

I owned one 2015 and is everything you state in your video. Here in Puerto Rico the driving culture and bad driving habits made me sell mine with just 2012 miles. Why would you ask?
Well I’ll tell you. If you were to get slammed in the rear, the beautiful bailarina dance performed when you open or close your convertible hard top would never ever be the same. I actually became very stressed out every time someone would come close to my rear bumper. My wife would ask me, why I looked stressed out; my reply would be:
Look at this “Short Of Breath” tailgating me at the rear, he is almost on top of my rear bumper. But more than likely you don’t have this problem. Never mind me.....enjoy your beautiful Z4.

The roof not closing by remote was a legal issue,not a control issue.
American legislation forbid a convertible roof to errect by remote,incase it crushed somebody stood/ getting in or out of the car.
He's not in America and I just watched someone do it!
Completely agree with you on it being the nicest looking car. Considered the SLK but cant stop turning away from the Z4. Looking to get the white with red leather interior.
My wife has the SLK. It sits next to my Z4 in the garage. So similar yet day and night. Always thought of White over Red as the traditional Corvette colors. But the BMW would look good in any color.
