Omg, I've worked on curtain wall projects, predominantly traditional stick build but some unitised systems and this is incredible. The efficiency of the whole operation is stunning. It's hard to see where errors and issues could even occur.
Hey! I am currently pursuing architecture and we've just been taught about curtain walls and we learnt that finding stick systems is hard these days, if you can, can you please mention some projects name that you said you've worked on(stick systems)
Oh trust me things can go wrong. Surveyors messing up set outs, bracket crews setting brackets wrong, prep crews installing the wrong features on the panels, panel crews screwing up elevations (I know a dude who accidentally set a laser on lock and installed 8 panels, so the last panel was 20mm higher than the first, all had to be fixed). And then there’s the safety, oh boy, I saw a guy fall out of the building end of last year, lucky he was wearing a harness but he wasn’t meant to be where he was when he fell. Blokes won’t lanyard their tools or materials and dropping things happens often and can shut a site down for the day. Plenty goes wrong every day, it’s not a job u can switch-off at
@@DonRoyalX Thanks for the realistic summary. I am looking to find a day in the life video of setting these, not just the marketing video. Would appreciate the link. I've been designing multifamily for 3 years now and we never get the chance to see enough on site.
Thanks for your great video. A much better way to demonstrate the benefits than me talking about it! Super quality installation, including torqueing of bolts, fire breaks and cill finishing.
Does this product require that a raised floor be installed or something? If someone was to step flush to the panel or out some furniture there wouldn't they just fall through the gap? That foam isn't exactly load bearing.
Don’t know the crane name but the hydraulic suction cup machine they’re using is a Woods Powr Grip, model MRT411LDC. I glaze with it every week. The pound capacity is 700 so that’s some light wall.
Woow great work done I have work on so many curtain wall this is too much, great work, I work in Aluminium company in Dubai but I will be very happy to work in this company please any help 👷 👷
Joiner turned curtain wall installer and facades an cladding , it's not as skilled as carpentry but never out of work and always kept going, it's the way forward as most builds r done by metal and glass
Looks good but looking at your panels and install. Did not see any PE holes in the millions at the transoms. Pushing the insulation against the slab unsupported not good practice. Thermal and structural movement could make it come loose. Better under flashing insulation and over flashing ti secure the insulation and form a better smoke seal. Stack head seams a bit small to me but hard to see on video. Sealing the stack head with just sealant could lead to leaking due to thermal and structural movement. Best practice is to use a splice sealed in place. But over all not bad. Would not stack up to Australian standard

Working in mud doesn't look fun , there's a cantilevered loading platform company in Boston that has Platforms that cantilever 14-16' from edge of building carry loads to 10,000 lbs and are 12-14' wide. You could load bunks on floor with crane then wheel to each unit on platform and set with crane . MLS Platforms, they have licensing agreement with Samson Equipment in England and Hardideck in Australia.
