Friesians IRL only come in black. They’re only allowed to have a small white star on their foreheads. Extremely rare, but chestnut is sometimes spotted since some bloodlines carry the red gene, however black is the official breed standard. Edit: it is not a slow gallop it is an extended canter. A gallop is a 4 beat gait meaning each foot hits the ground 1 at a time (just like the walk is a 4 beat gait). A canter is a 3 beat gait meaning that there’s a point where 2 feet hit the ground at the same time. Example of a gallop: Beat 1 back right, Beat 2 back left, Beat 3 front right, and Beat 4 front left. Example of a canter: Beat 1 back right, Beat 2 back left & front right, Beat 3 front left. If you slow the video down when Koko is cantering you’ll see that it is a 3 beat gait, when she’s in the extended canter you’ll see that it is also a 3 beat gait therefore is classified as an extended canter not a “slow gallop”. And when she’s galloping you’ll see that it is a 4 beat gait. If you don’t believe me on the difference between a canter and a gallop then look it up.
honestly might be my new favorite breed ever 😭😭 i seem to say this everytime they release a new horse nowadays, the new friesians, dwb and selle francais are literally my top 3 breeds right now i'm just so obsessed!!! they are absolutely GORGEOUS i think sso did an absolutely fantastic job honestly especially as an improvement from whatever the other ones are. i'm just so happy and satisfied with this, seriously so proud of the makers of this new breed. i think my only, only complaint is there's something off about the breeds but i can't really word it right now but theres something iffy. but i love the walk and i love the gallop. they're just so pretty :)
When i first saw the preview, the animations....were interesting. I wasn't fond of them. But i feel like they did some tweaking, and they look stunning now! Im definitely getting my grubby little hands on one eventually ❤
Lovely horses I have to say they look way better than the Jorvik Friesian’s not to hate or anything but they do long a lot more polished and done than the old ones. I like the coat colors but I hope to see that they add more coat colors in the future than just black and brown
IRL friesians cannot have any other coat colours than black and brown. Chestnut, blue roan, piebald, skew bald and many others cannot be put on the friesian as irl the breed cannot have that coat. I’m not sure why some breeds can’t but that’s probably something to look up.
@@stefanie._.mysterysea I understand that but in SSO terms they have no problem making very unrealistic coats colors for horses like the mustangs, not even considering the magical horses but just regular coats. But I get what you are saying I just hope in the future they come out with more than just different versions of black coats, if SSO only came out with just irl coat colors of horses they would not be making enough money that way they try and milk the horse breed as much as they can even if it includes unrealistic cost colors of the breed.
@@RosemaryJewelhaven very true, but yeah, they wouldn’t make a lot of money. Some things I would consider sso to do is add some customisation, as I haven’t found many ‘good’ piebalds or skewbalds. I feel like just the addition of adding small features like that would make our horses feel way more personalised and ‘our own’.

i noticed that in some gaits more than others, like the walk and slow gallop, it looks like they used the dutch warmblood as a base. i don’t think that’s a bad thing, but it is something i noticed. even though it looks like that, the gaits are still vastly different :)
Idk but I don’t really like the new friesians…I don’t like them! But I want to like them 😫 I guess I kind of like the black brown one. Like the one that you liked with the running braid. I do really like the running braid but the horses are…meh 😂

The coats are jet black, sunbleached black, black, liver chestnut, light chestnut, and the other's are just blacks with markings!

the funny this is i have a friesian at my stable that has ( 6:47 )'s marking on he's head and ( 2:55 ) coat color (sun bleached) he's really cute too
