My 10 yr old daughter said this while watching you Kulas: "Mama, watching his videos make me proud to be a Filipino... he's happy, here, right? while most Filipinos want to leave the Philippines.." And I said yes. Maganda talaga ang Pilipinas.
i planted a branch 12 days ago. so surprised when some leaves came out after 3 days. her zest for surviving is truly amazing. though i still have to wait 2-3 years before she will bear fruit, i love her already!!!
We call it 'Igba' in southwestern part of Nigeria. Its been with us from time immemorial!. We just use it dried as a gourd, bowl, utensils and decorative calabashes patterned and painted
We have those planted here in Las Piñas coming from Davao. Many people suffering from cancer testified that they were healed by drinking this Calabash fruit.

I really love watching your videos Kyle. I lived in the Philippines for 5 years but I never even heard of this fruit. Thank you so much for shooting these videos and sharing all your experience with the world. Mabuhay!
I already planted this type of tree in our lawn, its amazing, the leaves of this tree can really lower blood pressure, its fruit has many benefits to cure diseases
Apparently it can cure cancer, and has so many health benefits as well!!! I cant wait to be there and to consistently drink this. We have a lot of them in our yard in the province.
This is what I miss about the Philippines, you could just about pick fruits from any tree in your backyard within easy reach. Where we lived in Laguna,we had avocado, jackfruit and star apple trees in front of our house and a guava tree in the back...and I as a child would climb up to whichever tree yields fruits and pick them.It was a whole lot of fun... Kulas, this is my first time learning of this "miracle fruit". Does it have its own native name? I just wonder...
Sorry to burst your bubble but there are many places in the world you can go in your front and back yard and get fruit trees. The West Indies is one such place.I had the pleasure of having two Pommecythere Two west indian plum tree in the back yard and a Dunks and Guava tree out front. The neighbourhood was full of fruits at different times we had the pleasure of invading the trees to get the tasty fruits.
She just said this is what she misses about the Philippines, so where she lives now it is not possible. Where did she say that you can only do this in the Philippines?
Daghang Salamat Kulas! Very clear demo. We were given the hanging watermelon fruit😂 but I don't know what to do about it. I googled to educate myself about this fruit and then I saw your vlog. We will try to do what you did.
Wow, i never knew the Calabash have so much good stuff. I think when I move to the Philippines, i will buy some or make my own, and P400 is not bad, so this will be a life saver. Maraming salamat po for the video, Kulas!
Please come to Trinidad and Tobago. In addition to using the fruit, the dried gourd is used as containers and carved into ornaments. The Calabash is not unique to the Philippines and is quite known and used throughout the Caribbean and parts of South America.

Hi Kulas, your very famous now in CDO, can I suggest for a next video. How about do like "10 hours walking on New York" with hidden GoPro. Yours is walking in CDO. Love to watch locals reaction when they see you, how they show kindness and how friend CDO people are as we are called "city of golden friendship". How Kagaya-anon embrace you and love you as one of us Filipino. And maybe some of your viewer say you really become a filipino now. Love you Kulas. Keep doing what you do.
Calabash is right term. Miracle fruit is usuallly a berry, smaller fruit. Calabash is used by natives n south america as cleansing and purgative solution.
I saw that fruit in a food fair, it's so big, they were selling the juice made from that fruit, actually the juice taste good and sold for medicinal purpose. There is another miracle fruit, a red small berry-like fruit, when you eat a sour food and then eat the miracle fruit it will taste sweet.
