      u should watch the documentaries of the 10# aniversaries of lol, instead of watching the lol finals of 2017, 2018, 2019 everh match is stomp, not hype to see it, and that is a problem, but in the videos of the 10 aniversarie they put some of the most iconic matchs skt vs rox tiger is amazing

      Wait til you see the opening for 2019. Also, for the POP/STARS bit, it's Augmented Reality (AR), not CGI :3 the audience was given special glasses that allowed them to see the AR projections

    You know, if u have been playing this game for a few years now, seeing such a "flashback" to previous Worlds makes me feel so emotional lol
    Usually, people make a list of stuff someone should watch, but since everything Riot does is pretty cool just watch whatever comes up in your recommendations lmao

    • @TheReelSym
      @TheReelSym  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can see how! I've never played the game and this opening is epic so can imagine what it means to true fans!
      Amen to that...they do know how to make great content oh and I'll be watching it all :)

    5:40 I saw your reaction to the sudden screen error
    FunnFact: that's actually a technical difficulty, but it ironically made the effect better, as watching it live on a computer screen made it seem that she really was breaking through another world

    If there is something I like, its the way the rapper either accidentally or intentionally goes "into" the camera at 12:50

    You're right about everything!
    It is Korean, and about it is quite common in K-Pop to mix Korean and English.
    LPL is the Chinese league. And those were two different teams indeed, Samsung Galaxy has disbanded at the end of 2017, the team was bought and renamed. And SKT had a difficult year, not even qualifying for the Worlds (ironically, they lost the regional finals to Gen.G, the new name of Samsung Galaxy, which denied SKT from going to the Worlds).

    • @TheReelSym
      @TheReelSym  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Is it!? I thought it was! Yeah love how thy do that, how they go back between the two. Oh wow so SKT didn’t even qualify 🤔😳 what a fall from grace.
      I’m looking forward to 2019 I hear that’s it’s even better than 18 somehow ha!

    • @Nitlda
      @Nitlda 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TheReelSym It was a real shock for everyone when SKT failed to qualify. I wonder if their big loss to Samsung in the 2017 finals had anything to do with that (they lost 3-0, didn't win a single round)
      One thing I would say was better in 2019 is that they didn't use CGI but a type of holograms (can't remember the exact name of the technology they used), so the audience could really see it on the stage, while the CGI in 2017 and '18 was only visible on the big screens and the broadcast.
      Also it was an indoor venue, and a show like this is always much better in the dark, which is impossible in an open stadium since they have to start pretty early (the finals can last up to around 5-6 hours)

    LPL, stands for League of Legends Pro League, is the Chinese mainland, like LCK and LES. IG won the first World Cup for the LPL in 2018, it’s a historic moment. Of course, the FNC is also a very good team, two teams for the audience to bring a good game. I love your video, and I look forward to your 2019 opening ceremony!❤️

    • @TheReelSym
      @TheReelSym  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah so they are Chinese, thanks for clearing that one up for me.
      Thanks!🙏 yeah i hear that its very good...can't wait ha!😂

    • @barricades8770
      @barricades8770 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Reel Sym No. IG's TOP and MID are Koreans, and the other three are Chinese. THESHY and ROOKIE are registered in the LPL, So they work for LPL, and they are good Korean foreign aid.

  • @joshuabalindres2333
    @joshuabalindres2333 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    That year was revolutionary because it's the first time that an LPL team won world championship. This is the year that the gap of LPL and LCK was really really close like an inch. No Korean team get into the semi finals in this year and it's the first time since 2012. best match here was IG vs KT(korean team).

    The sad thing is that in 2018 and 2019 a European team made it to the finals, the first two times it had ever happened. The first European team in 2018, Fnatic, my favourite team. And then the second European team, G2, the best European team of all time (who actually had a FLAWLESS year, they won both of their domestic leagues, and they won MSI, an international tournament, and looked amazing at 2019 WorldS).
    BOTH European teams lost, in clean sweeps, 3-0, to Chinese teams. It was soul crushing both times. Absolutely soul crushing.

    • @F1rstWorldNomaD
      @F1rstWorldNomaD 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically not the first time... '
      Fnatic actually won the first Worlds Championship.
      It was played in Jönköping, Sweden at DreamHack.
      The newly implemented rules however put an age restriction on participation forcing Rekkles to take the bench.
      Guess alot of people dont count it as Rekkles, despite on the team wasnt actually playing and since he more or less *is* Fnatic in alot of peoples eyes it doesnt really feel like a win, I dunno.
      I count it though, as a FNC fan, a Rekkles fan and a Swede I think Im kinda obligated to xD

    😂 I liked the question mark!!! Also winning teams of these world championships are rewarded with money as well as a special set of skins for the champions(characters) they have played during the championship. They design the thematic and the fantasy of the skins and the members each choose one character to have the skins made for. Also riot directly shares the revenue for the skins with the teams players. They care about this so much that this year they made a change for the looting system in the game. Normally when you purchase or earn lootboxes you have a chance to get a random skin shard. You can dust it or activate it with dust. Also you can reroll three shards to get a random skin permanent. This year riot made sure that rerolls doesn’t give these team skins. In previous years you could get them. I personally got couple of them this way. Anyway this was unnecessary, awesome content as always!

    • @TheReelSym
      @TheReelSym  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ha did you!?😃
      That is cool how they get special skins I like that! I see so it makes the skins even more limited! Thanks Bora...next up 2019😬

    Fnatic. My favorite team who i supported since season 3!. They are season 1 world champions(they form the meta of league of legends that we still do today 9 years after)

    • @TheReelSym
      @TheReelSym  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Season one champs!? Wow so these are some veterans then!😄 Impressive that they are still at the top in 2018.

    • @hansoloq3467
      @hansoloq3467 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheReelSym nah. The only veteran on the team is the player who raised his hand(season 3) and the guy who looked mad(season 1). Fnatic is just an old organization

    Hey, if you watch a championship game, are you gonna stream it/make a video of it? You could even stream yourself watching the games that are happening right now. This is the fight to get to Worlds, so you could be up to date, and understand Leafue that much better.

    • @TheReelSym
      @TheReelSym  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a good idea and something i have been thinking about doing at some point. I don't think i would look into starting anything like this though until i am up to date with all other league stuff (which could take some time!) but yeah will look into this at a later date.

    Here is a link to where they state how many watched the 2018 Worlds Finals online: th-cam.com/video/h4FGqymg4k4/w-d-xo.html
    On of the big story lines for 2018 is that Worlds was held in Korea, and none of the Korean teams made it to the quarter finals.
    The tech they pull out for special effects in 2019 is different, and had been previously used in a simpler fashion in 2016.

      I disagree.
      Id say theyre about even, the visuals of 2019 is better but the sound track to 2018 is far superior.
      Rise annihilates Phoenix and Sleeping Giants was a massive virtue singal cringe fest and while the sound was pretty good it was destroyed but the stupid "Sleeping giants, sleeping sleeping giants" after each chorus that sounded like some of the producers 11 year old got to place a hook he thought was cool.
      Love that they brought in Awaken though.
