@@junefirst As a middle school student I learn a lot of physics principles from your educational videos. Also, I just appreciate that you pay respect to all the lives that were hurt or killed in these severe weather episodes, which is, frankly, kind of rare in today’s internet.
You can't help but marvel at the living entity that a tornado forms into. It's beauty and power are insane to behold, and the knowledge we've attained about them from the study of instruments and chasers is no less impressive. They are indeed nature's beauty. Well, unless they are coming for you. A little less beautiful then, but that's understandable in the same way a lion is majestic until it mauls you almost to death.
Insane footage! I had a similar experience may 25th at a QuikTrip in Sanger, Texas after calling it quits for for the day, when the Valley View EF3 storm came directly at me!
I remember passing by that "We got the spider!" sign. It's insane, all those grain towers and the houses. They ended up taking down the whole warehouse with the spider. The Greenfield one was insane to see. There was an FJ Cruiser parked right in the path, and its funny, that thing looked like it wasn't hit. Buildings down everywhere, cars smushed, and just a lone FJ with some cracked windshields and minor dents. Toyota go crazy lol We got a small one south of Urbandale in Des Moines, but it just did two touch downs and left. I took a good video of it from a hotel, without even realizing it was a tornado. It was soooo rain wrapped.
I went through that claremore tornado. I've always been nervous that one day I (and others) won't take the sirens/warnings serious and then it finally happens. But I will say you could just tell this time was different with the amount of warnings and such, we even had police come down the road 10mins before with sirens on telling us to take cover. Glad everyone was safe, good chase
The Coburg Stanton Massena EF3 was an amazing looking tornado. Being able to see the Greenfield EF4 monster at the same time on the horizon is just incredible. Great work Max.
This day will always be interesting for spatial extent of supercells, but the tornadoes still remaining violent and visible. Such a weird and unique day with sadly devasting tones for the town of Greenfield.
I have seen tornado videos for years, and yet my brain is always awe struck at how... incredible they look. Every tornado makes me watch it like it is the first one I've ever seen.
I'm more impressed by the fact that you said the word "haboob" in a video while keeping a straight face than I am by the fact that you drove next to a tornado.
The scary multivortex structure transition with a racing tornado sccelerating 50 to 65+ mph towards a chaser and large horizontal vortices with the tilt of the tornado stretched as its moving so quickly was unforgettable participating there live. Thanks for the reminder! @MaxOlsonChasing
I've seen some of the damage from these tornadoes. There's a huge trail through arkansas with dead trees now. I'm not even gonna try and guess how many trees were killed. And quite a few people lost a lot in these tornadoes. Rural arkansas towns aren't exactly wealthy so this is pretty unfortunate.
This was fascinating to watch. Some really clean shots on that first intercept. Night time chasing is for the birds. I'm 1,000 some miles away and the tension is still palpable. Bad mix of no light, and if it's rain wrapped too? Sheesh. Thank god for radar at that point, I guess...
Max Olson is the deal right here, as a child who looked up at the NG storm chasers on TV Timmers but soon I found others. Max you are insane like I am and I love it 😂, your videos and documentation is outstanding compared to others
Unspeakable has a video of one after storm chasing where a supercell came to there property and the winds are 60mph,1inch hail and very strong thunderstorm
If I will ever have opportunity to chase tornadoes with well known storm chaser Max Olson will be on top of my list with only very few other guys🔥 amazing chase and footage. Keep it up💪😎
We were chasing in Claremone as well! Was pulling of the interstate just as power flashes and the power went out at the QT. Went straight east on the state highway. Stayed well ahead of it. Guy in a black truck flew past us at one point. Vaught up to him in Pryor at a gas station and he asked "You guys see that motherf*cker??! B*tch almost picked my ass up. I got the hell out of there after that" we had a good laugh. Thankful it did hit Pryor too
I remember being in a tornado it was absolutely terrifying. I was in my aunts trailer it was me, my mom, my dad and my aunt we were all chilling in the living room at night. We didn't get no warnings didn't hear the sirens either. We heard this freight train sound coming toward us my aunt looked at my mom and my mom looked at her and my aunt said that's a tornado. We all huddled in the kitchen because we didn't have enough time to get to the bathroom because it was already on top of us. The trailer was shaking and I was hugging the fridge slightly praying that we would make it out alive. The trailer stops shaking but I always knew that some tornado's come back to finish their path of destruction. We were out of power for a month
How many widows do you guys go through in one year I’m seriously curious cause some of the hail that comes from those storms can be huge and you guys are out there every storm I can only imagine you spend a lot of money on windows
Yes but the derbies could damage your house and possibly throw a semi truck at it and damaging it to the point we’re the tornado can rip it up into the air
I don't know how people live with a threat like that when it can form out of nothing. There is no house that can sustain that kind of concentrated wind force. Great footage.

I've always felt tornadoes are the closest thing we have to a real life storybook-style monster/dragon/cryptid.
@@RT-qd8yl they'd be far less scary if they couldn't move towards you
For real, they are incredible, but just so wild and insane that could blow you out in a sec

Being a storm chaser could be cool because you can have some great views of tornadoes, but it could be dangerous too

Very very excellent content as always, Mr. Olson.

At 12:10 that twister was just as violent as the Wynnewood OK tornado of 2016. You almost never see tornadoes get that violent.

Youre wuickly becoming a favorite along with Freddy. Sorry, but Reed is my all time fav. But you're now at third in my top 5 list!
I agree with unspeakable literally being there

Beautiful tornado
Honestly I think investing in a strong house to the point where not even an EF-5 can destroy it would be amazing to have
actually tho
I think if I was going to live in Tornado Alley I would buy an underground house
@@intheredcold9216 Kinda smart considering your storm shelter is also your house 😂
