    Just found one of these fully refurbished at a local shop.
    Watched this vid to see it in action.
    I think I need to set aside some funds this looks so minimal and slick.

    Where am I able to have my Beogram 2400 fully refurbished? I have found no other turntable to match it, but it is 44 years old (or thereabouts) and has some wear and cracked dustcover which is detached. It operates, but not optimally.

    I have a Mitsubishi LT-156, do you know of a repair shop who can refurb it for me?

    Super old post but I just hooked up my 1800 and the clearance is so low that it scrapes slightly? Could this be a calibration issue or is this common? Any tips welcome.

      could easily be the suspension adjustment issue or worst case scenario the vertical bearing alignment is spoiled

    the B & O I have has a MMC4 but the beo sites suggest a MMC5 for it? does it matter???

      @dave631bnetzero 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there
      The MMC5 is the low end cartage for B$O turntables. The MMC1 is the finest. The difference is the price. A 5 back in the day way about $80. If you want better sound, try the 4. Today these are very very expensive. You can't get a 5 anymore., but an aftermarket 4 is about $130 and worth the money. The 1 is something like $1500

      yes....these are FAR more expensive now than before. the B&O cartridges are proprietary....you can't use any other kind on their turntables.

    Do you remember that?

    Is the cartridge/stylus you mention the ONLY option for this unit? And if so, how much does a cartridge like that cost?
    I found this turntable for sale here locally, but the ad states that it does not come with a cartridge.
    That is why I am asking.

      Just for people that come across this years later with the same question: Yes, you have to buy B&O cartridges, and yes, they are..... quite expensive.

    I might be a little late... But how good is the sound quality? And where can I buy one of these?

    • @CrossedPathsVintage
      @CrossedPathsVintage  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      B&O sound quality is nice, but there are several options out there with good results and with more cost effective needles to replace

      +CrossedPathsVintage how is it compared to the audio technica at lp120? Could you plug it into speakers and I can't seem to find one on the Internet

    • @CrossedPathsVintage
      @CrossedPathsVintage  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +AnotherAccount it needs a receiver and speakers for playback

    I got one of these with an MMC1 I haven't used it in years but now I tried it and its running slightly too slow (a bit annoying) what do you think I would have to do to get it to run at the right speed?

    • @CrossedPathsVintage
      @CrossedPathsVintage  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Likely it needs a bit of an overhaul to get the motor operating at the correct speed. That's definitely something Crossed Paths Vintage can restore.

      Hi.. There are most likely two small speed-adjust screws right under the top plate. On my RX2 they are marked R44 and R33. It´s Very easy to fix ;)

    I had an 1800 back in the early 80's, and had nothing but trouble with it.
    Inside the parts were cheap plastic. B&0 are beautifully designed, but they honestly are junk.
