Oh how I envy you. I watched it on the plane. It was last minute decision. It was that or some other film I was more interested in. But I though hell why not, remembering this interview ever so slightly. And OMG I've been obsessed ever since. I watched it on a bigger TV screen at my hotel room yesterday and will again tomorrow. It was hypnotic FR. The way he kept building stuff up and all the tension in little bursts throughout, the soundtrack itself and Austin's incredible incredible acting. I wish I'd known better as it must be such a emotional roller coaster watching it on a big screen with great sound, your heart thumping as he got increasingly hotter too. That Las Vegas rehearsal piece I have been singing for a solid week now. And that are you lonesome piece at the piano. Chiiiiiillllllls. Good on you for making the right decision. So happy for you 😍

I already knew Michelle Yeoh is top notch because I watched it after Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, still I thought I'm going to watch great Jackie Chan stunts with support cast, but no - that motorcycle hop onto a train is still one of the most impressive stunts I ever saw.
Up until then, Jackie Chan was seen as action star excelling in comedy but not drama, while Michelle Yeoh did action with dignified drama but not comedy.

Then Tomorrow Never Dies, Crouching Tiger, Crazy Rich Asians, and now Everything Everywhere All At Once. She is a force, an elegant beauty and a phenomenally diverse actress. I was in my pre teens when I first saw her on screen and now in my 30s. I hope the Academy rewards her, it will be what the Hollywood community call a "career Oscar" if she wins, celebrating her acting in this latest film and also celebrating her filmography. The odds are in Cate Blanchett's favour for Tar. It will be interesting to see if they will give Cate a 3rd Oscar, which will indeed be well deserved, or if they'll decide it's time to finally give it to the talented Michelle Williams on her 5th Oscar nomination; or will it be Michelle Yeoh on this golden opportunity to reward her stellar work. The Best Actress race is tight and tense this year.

one thing I've learned from watching graham's show as an American: British people are so charming and funny effortlessly. idk if its the accent that makes them sound more witty but they do. like I have no idea who most of the British guests are, but they're so funny. like this guy jack lowden? never heard of him or seen him before. but humor is A+ even the Ashley guy next to him. side note: Michelle Yeoh. she's 60? she's hot.

I ad to watch everything everywhere all at once twice to fully appreciate the film. It was amazing and Michelle Yeoh is wonderful in everything she does.
If Ashley thinks Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is impressive he really needs to watch more movies from Hong Kong: that one was pretty tame and made mostly for mainstream Western audiences. The stuff that Michelle and Jackie Chan used to be in back in the 80s-90s blows every single Marvel movie out of the water with just a tiny fraction of the cost and not a single CGI or green screen to be seen.

one thing I've learned from watching graham's show as an American: British people are so charming and funny effortlessly. idk if its the accent that makes them sound more witty but they do. like I have no idea who most of the British guests are, but they're so funny. like this guy jack lowden? never heard of him or seen him before. but humor is A+ even the Ashley guy next to him. side note: Michelle Yeoh. she's 60? she's hot.

Not a word yet about Jack? I was really impressed with his English accent in the film clip, and his overall friendly, articulate demeanour. And then Ashley - he had that pleasant relaxed easy-going air of people whose work is mainly physical (hello Michelle too!) - and I was wondering why no-one asked him - how do you get your hair like that? 😉

If Ashley thinks Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is impressive he really needs to watch more movies from Hong Kong: that one was pretty tame and made mostly for mainstream Western audiences.
The stuff that Michelle and Jackie Chan used to be in back in the 80s-90s blows every single Marvel movie out of the water with just a tiny fraction of the cost and not a single CGI or green screen to be seen.
CTHD’s sequences were more graceful. Ashley is a dancer so he appreciates the beauty in the film.
