- Four inns and tavern songs from the role-playing game The Witcher. Composed by either Paweł Błaszczak or Adam Skorupa. Please, Subscribe, Rate, Comment, and Enjoy!!!
Some of the music I posted is not from the official soundtrack, but copied from The Witcher game itself. To find the music look in the music folder of your installation of the Witcher and make copies of the music in a different location. You will also need a sound file converter that can convert the files to mp3s or a media player that plays .ogg files.
I uploaded separate version of the taverns and inn music due to many requests. Follow these links:

The Witcher was one of the games most stunning in visual artistry, even the loading screens had my students (and me) gasping. The story, very clever. The music... moments and phrases will stay with me for ever. Thank you, Paweł Błaszczak and Adam Skorupa.
The loading screens were gorgeous. Hand painted and really set the mood for what was to come ahead. Thick with atmosphere as well. It, and its sequel, were one of the few games where you could almost smell the game world, be it the BO, poverty, and open sewerage of the Vizima slums, the bracing night air on the lake shore, the age and dust of the crypts, or the thick with pollen air of the cornfields, together with the feeling that despite it being midday at the height of summer, something was just wrong with the place.
Ascyltos - The Fields! You've nailed it. Summer, beautiful meadows, a scent of fear. The original Morrowind, though visually and imaginatively stunning (I love that game and go back to it when disappointed by others), rarely achieved the same levels of atmosphere.
They even had floral expert/enthusiast to make sure they had proper type of wheat growing in the fields fitting for the medieval-type setting.
That's dedication.
FelineRed Yep, and in 2 and allegedly 3 they've got professional sword fighters to ensure that all Geralt's and other characters' moves are those that duelists and warriors from Central and Eastern Europe c. 1400 would have. In W2 all the sword moves are from Blossfechten or something, and Iorveth plays "Stella splendens" (a real song from that time) on his flute, and the Glagolithic (early Cyrillic) script is used on all in-game text - correctly.
***** sapkowski was bashing the game and calling it inferior and bad actually
3:27 - Tavern at night, Julian telling Geralt the story about his grandfather, unknown Witcher and silver penny: "Grandfather, may Melitele watch over his soul, had a plot of land. A piece of rocky, frozen valley in northern Kovir, and a deserted coalmine with no coal. Grandfather always said that a treasure was concealed in the valley. He worked hard every year to discover that treasure. Initially, many gladly took the jobs he offered and helped. But soon it became clear that grandfather had gone mad, that there was no treasure. When he was 47, had rheumatism and a collection of bobolak scalps above his mantle, he was overcome with grief and went outside. He began cursing the heavens, berating all the known gods in the foulest language he knew. The gods answered. There was a terrible rumble and an avalanche descended on the valley. Grandfather regained consciousness, burrowed out of the snow and looked around to see something that would change his life. The entire valley was glimmering strangely, glimmering so beautifully that he nearly didn't see the beast coming towards him with a heavy gait. Grandfather fled, bending over once to pick up a strangely glimmering stone. In short, he escaped. Descending from the mountains, he encountered a witcher who agreed to slay the monster in exchange for a silver penny. They returned to the valley and the witcher slew the beast. He could not help noticing the wealth laying in that valley, yet he demanded nothing beyond the penny promised him earlier. Grandfather grew to trust him and knew that sooner or later someone or something would come along and want to take his treasure, for the treasure in the valley was immense, Geralt. Diamond deposits that took years to extract... They became partners. The witcher watched the workers, killed monsters, drove off bandits, and grandfather managed the business. He's a legend in Kovir, and my family is wealthy and respected... That's the whole story."
Ah the nostalgia
You just hit my g spot
I listened this story to this music 00:00 XD
The one game that truly made me feel like I was in an inn during the middle ages.
What happened to this atmosphere in between the games? Was it really just the music, or something more?
@@TaxFraudTutorials I think its mainly music but there is something else related like art style idk
@@back5594 i think the backgrounds of the environments, having such limits the way they did left a lot for the imagination whereas in the Witcher 3 the world map is so big that we never bother staring off into the distance.
Dwarf: Let me sleep. Let me sleep. Let me sleep.

- This is really amazing! Isn't it Geralt?

Pierdolę w łeb twojego Skyrima. Nie zapraszam do dyskusji.
2:05 is my Yule Log music. -G
Shit in my boots.
02:06 ahhh the nostalgia
The image reminds me of Nivellens house from first Witcher book.
Amazing songs - all four of them - though I can't imagine Geralt dancing to them (mostly because I can't imagine Geralt dancing at all :D)
7 years later: th-cam.com/video/N19LtZrKGYE/w-d-xo.html
He does sword dance
Love it! I want live this world! :) Andrzej Sapkowski is the best writer in the world! ANy day listen this music. :)))))) From Hungary
Witcher is more like: Wow look at this flower, this beautiful!!!!!11.
Skyrim is more like, wow look at this flower, smash it.
Dear God... I love these songs. But what I enjoy more is obviously listening to them while reading the books!
PS Wielki szacun dla Sapkowskiego!
a friend of mine decided to play the witcher and I was like "THE WITCHER???' xD ( and now I'm a fan of the music---the lit a f tavern music)
Moc pěkné, děkuji!!!
@LittleDragon5 : Ceck your game installation folder, it's there.

This game is absolutely amazing, and the music is awesome!
Male 18-24
Male 25-34
Male 13-17
conisdering many kids chose age 18+ just to avoid restrictions, still at least half ppl here are of age.
I love this game
When I hear how the moron in Skyrim in the inn sings, I am just trying to do what I have to do as fast as possible and get out of there... lol! In The Witcher 2 I don't want to go out of the inn to do what I have to do because the music is so awesome.. pff..
Greetings from Greece. Amazing music!!!
3:27 this is where epicness starts...and in my dreams it never ends...
Insanely good
OMG
seriously witcher 1 ost specially tavern ones, are much better than the witcher 3 tavern ost in my opinion
2:09 🐺🐺🐺
C'mon, we Slavic have some nice good music too!
My mind just fills with images of riverdancing drowners when I hear the first part. Just me? Thought so...
First one makes me want to dance. Not entirely sure if any of my ancestors were Irish, but that song makes me feel like it.
REALLY want to play this game! Got it during the steam sale for cheap, and it can technically run on my computer, but I have to make it look terrible (as in no textures), and even then it runs pretty poorly. I have heard nothing but good things, and want to wait until I get a better rig so that it can play it in decent quality.
its funny how this song isnt on the soundtrack when it clearly its the best song of the game.
it fucking goes on my top 5 songs of all game songs.
Awesome Game!!!! love it's atmosphere. very superior to the gothic series.
Just.... THANK YOU!!!! :))) The Music is awesome!! :))
omg.this song is soo awsome!!!!It always make me happy:D
This game has one of the best soundtracks!!
Saludos desde México! Bellísima música :D
La mejor musica, me pone muy nostálgico
Sorry, my computer specs can't run this title.
Wow, first witcher (came out in 2007)? Sorry to hear that.
zhrk. Yeesh. What are you running? Windows 95?
Nah, the Witcher 3.
zhrk.
How can you Run Witcher 3 and not Witcher 1? Did you get a recent upgrade?
bladiumdragon no i CANT run witcher 3 but the other 2 hell yeah
Nice music! I like the first song especially. Very lively. :)
the first song just feels like a big old celebration with a tribe at a huge bonfire!!!!! ^w^
Amazing
So much better than Witcher 3 tavern music.. except for Priscilla's song.
What's the first music's name ????
It sounds so upbeat and fun... for a game that drops F bombs, has lots of sex and violence, and where you play as one of the best badasses around.
witcher 3 announced !!
I will have wedding with this music, and we will all dance like in medieval times on this tavern music :)
"What bold warrior is tis? Tis Erasmus, the generous!".
Loved the game and the music is fantastic! I just wished the tracks on the music cd that came with game were longer!
Najlepsza ścieżka dźwiękowa jest w karczmie "Miś Kudłacz"!
Knowing that this was composed by Polish makes it even more legit, because hell! They know how to feast!
But that is not necessarily a good thing, I do not think I need to incite some specific games where online play has whiny and annoying children on it? But hat is the harmless side of it, there would also be the kids who grow up spoiled and/or dickish in nature :l I played mature games since 16 and I turned out fine, but 15 and below I was already slightly greedy so I do not want to even imagine if I was younger!
0:46 the best
But in some cultures children go to taverns with their parents for a celebration, they dance, talk, etc while this kind of music plays. It has even happened in American history way back when :l
Where do you hear the first one? Never noticed it. And I didn't even find it on soundtrack.
I know I'm late, but it's called murky waters inn.
@@MT_199 Better late than never!
Because, in my shitty opinion, this musics fits perfectly for The Witcher, not for TES :]
[cont]I also did alcohol at 16 and kept going till 17 and stopped completely because it tastes like horse shit and I care not for being drunk :l
remember than Poland has Cracovia, which is known in Europe for being the capital of troubadours, trouveres, and other musicians!
Russia is slavic as well.
In fact that translation is probably the closest thing to Polish, especially when it comes to mythology.
The tavern themes are the best!
I get that. A lot of americans have very childish and fairytale like idea of middle ages, that's why some US made games can sometimes look tad unrealistic. Witcher can be very direct and ambiance-building in that way in the best tradition of Sapkowski's books (Great literature by the way)
Raise a flaggon and be mary!
Be quick and do not terry!
The mead is cold and the women are warm!
chug and spill till you fall on the floor!
Sing your song and tell tails of glory!
Down the grog till your words get slurry!
Food, booze all in a pinch!
Just dont forget to tip the bar wench!
mead is best warm also if you have access to mead and beer i highly doubt you would want grog.
It's a completely different world, this music wouldn't totally fit in. I mean skyrim is like nordic-celtic-something, where they had completely different music than slavs, which has its supposedly-similar-to-the-real-shit-copy used in the witcher
99.9% of this song has no relation to alcohol.... wait... same with the other 0.01% though :P
Maybe that has something to do with the civil war and the dragons. If Skyrim were set in happier times, the inns would probably have a more merry atmosphere...then again, nords in Skyrim seem a bit on the moody side as a whole.
Let's start with fact, that Skyrim's inns totally lack in atmosphere, you just go there, ask for quest, buy Salt and leave, nothing more, you can't even relax and drink some beer with pal :
Are you fucking kidding me? In Skyrim my horse flew off some days ago not to say that a giant appeared in middle of Sovngarde....so you're telling us skyrim ain't any glitchy shit? xD
du du du dud titit tututu tititi tutututu tititititit titit itit itit tutut dididid tutut ditud tudididid tututut dididid tututut love it ;p
@UshiromiyaReiji It's like the very best of the Tavern songs out there.. LOL.. I actually feel like dancing it XD.. Compared to The Witcher 2 Soundtrack... TW1 was the best.
'No challenges? I'm itching to hit someone!'
magique
Oui messire ! Ma préférée reste la première !
this is music from commercial game called The Witcher so i think you need to ask people from CD Projekt RED, the makers of The Witcher
@Razorblade1996
i'm sorry but nothe best RPG of all history is, and will all time be, the Baldur's gate serie
@Anonumisc I don't think I have any decent recording hardware, unfortunately. I'll have to take a look.
Nice songs but the First is the best......the last one is the 2nd best......the others............are k
Love these songs. I always listen to them when i want to cheer myself up :)
Tavern 3 might not work here
@@real_Furryratchet Why not? It´s still atmospheric, melancholic and calming in a way :)
@@Runmaister because this track does not sound like to sheer someone up
I 1st got drunk at 12, so, there goes that theory
the witcher's soundtrack is much better than the second witcher's one
taaaa na jednej sesji RPG grało właśnie Tavern in the End of World... od razu Wiedźmin się przypomniał :3
Want a beating stranger? we fight for money!
Wouldn't fit in a game inspired by Norse mythology(Viking age.)
@DeatgMagnet i like Champions of Norrath more than Balder Gate
The first track could be music they play at weddings in Poland
As a Pole, i can assure you that you're right.
Well BEST GAME EVER.
موسيقى تجعلك تبتسم لا اراديا
wwhat is the name of tavern 1 in the folder of the game?
please kind sir, depart with haste!
The first one is damn fun to play on guitar, I tell you!
you call it skyrim but its the elders scrolls 5
Second track is influenced by slovian music... Amazing mix.
Taverns are nice but I hate alcohol, so yeah.
Me - HEY WAITRESS, ANOTHER BEER, AND # BURP # !!!
A guy - YOU BURPED ?????? # bar fight #
meah - its no Jeremy Soule
CAN YOU UPLOAD THE FIRST ONE?!
I know I'm 10 years late, but the first one is called "Murky waters inn".
@@MT_199 I appreciate it, 10 years later
How about no.
Not bad
Sorry. The last sentence you used is copypasta and filled with AIDS.
I gotta say my grammar sucks. What I meant is "skyrim cannot compare to witcher". Witcher is the game that has its superior music atmosphere. I really love that game. Skyrim is shit. Main quest is very small. A guy beat that at 1:25:05. The rant was for the latest elder scrolls game, not for witcher. I'll just delete my previous comment. And I couldn't agree more with your comment.
Hit me, chickie!!!!!
