We Compared Vibing and Jigging

  • Very interesting outcome while we both fished different techniques. Both were very effective and basically came down to who got to the bottom first in most cases when fishing new areas as the fish were unpressured and hungry. As the day pushed on the vibe was noticeably better and seemed to get bites all day long.

Would love to hear your pros and cons between these two reels and what you would recommend i pull the trigger on. Cheers for all the great content you put out and keep doing what your doing….regards, Paul

    Hi Matt, great vid as usual. Thanks for the education on the reasons you fish at certain times (moon cycle), and you mentioned you were fixed on fishing the ebbing tide at a particular spot. Could you briefly explain why the flooding tide wasn't as good? Pressure edge on a drop off maybe? Keen to understand your reasoning on this. Cheers mate

    • @PelagicPursuit89
      @PelagicPursuit89  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      this particular area is on the southern side of a channel and the incoming tide races down the channel and stirs up the water swell as creating too much run to fish it

    Magic session matty 🤙 can I ask you mate ? I noticed you tied loop knot to split ring on the squidtrex do you always tie a loop not to your split rings with no dramas of line pinching up in the split ? Would it be better to attach to a solid ring with leader then to split ring or dose that mess with the action of vibe to much ? Look forward to hearing you feedback mate cheers Scotty

    • @thor_6886
      @thor_6886 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question, I was about to ask the same thing when I saw that close up of the two vibes in the rod holders. Most jig experts say whatever you do, don't tie on to the split ring because of the danger of things going pear shaped. keen to hear Matty's views...

    • @PelagicPursuit89
      @PelagicPursuit89  ปีที่แล้ว

      im really keen to compare them a lot more but basically we found if we fished a new mark the jig would beat the vibe to the bottom and get eaten first. once we had fished the hand full of marks in the area the jig stopped getting bites and the vibe dominated. if you were smart you'd drop a jig on the first drop to beat the others down and then switch to a vibe
